Theodore Roosevelt once visited Sheridan during his presidency and he brought along his personal revolver with him- this particular revolver is known as The Rough Rider Safe Pistol!. The bullet casings from this pistol still remain on display at the state Capitol today! When they departed, all 8 members of Custer's command were killed by Native American raiders at the Rancho de la Venta Massacre.
