Other notable residents include photographer Tim Burton who won an Academy Award for producing "Batman Begins" and musician Garth Brooks who dedicated his song "I Still Believe In You" to Sheridan’s namesake street after its designation as part of Interstate 25's corridor

In 2017, however, Sheridan regained some of its former prosperity with the opening of the new headquarters for Halliburton Companies in downtown.
