Today Riverton is home to several popular cultural attractions including The Josephine Loveland Museum of American Art; The Mount Carmel Arts Center; and Red Rocks Amphitheater which presents live music throughout each year.

The population of Riverton increased rapidly during the early years of the 20th century as farmers moved into the area and new businesses were founded. By 1930, there were over 100 homes in Riverton and it had become an important center for trade and commerce. The influx of people also helped to create a large population identity within the community which continues to this day.
