The school offered instruction on all types of airguns including handguns and shotguns. After World War II ended, guns resumed being used by members of the RRA as well as other organizations in Riverton until they finally went away altogether in 1978 when New Mexico banned air gunning specifically for hunting purposes citing public health concerns related thereto

In 1907, after Wickersham's death, Riverton became part of Logan County and its buildings were destroyed by a fire that raged through the town for three days. Since then, Riverton has undergone various changes including growth in agriculture and ranching; loss of population due toMotorcyclist Accident Claims; conversion into an open-air museum which included flood damage from the Kilauea Volcano eruption in 1986; and reestablishment as a small town with its own government since 2000.
