This led to the development of handguns with Class III (largest) calibers such as .45 ACP and 9mm Parabellum. These guns are capable of firing multiple rounds per minute ( rounds/minute), which is much higher than the rate at which most people fire their rifles or shotguns. Evanston, Wyoming is a city in Logan County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 5,848 at the 2010 census. The Evanston Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The city is located on the eastern edge of Logan County and is bordered by Sheridan to the north and east, Sweetwater to the south and west, and Price to the northwest. The first people to live in Evanston were Native Americans who came from Kansas in 1847. They built a trading post near present-day Northwestern University. A school was established in 1853 and became one of the largest schools in Dakota Territory. In 1865, settlers from Illinois arrived and founded what is now Chicago Heights; they replaced the Native Americans as the predominant force in town. By 1870, Evanston had become one ofthe most heavily populated cities in America with over 10,000 residents. In 1887–88 a fire destroyed much of downtown Evanston but not before startng a new era for this medieval-inspired town (see also: "The Builders" article). In 1903–04 when Colorado became a state, Evanston annexed Sheridan which added another 4500 residents to its population—making it one of America's fastest growing cities during that time frame In 1916 a new water system was installed which increased water availability for everyone within walking distance; this event helped increase agricultural production due to decreased commuting time On July 15th 1940 tornado touched down just 20 miles east of Evanston damaging or destroying dozens homes but no lives were lost though several injuries occurred including 2 young girls whose fathers had been working on an irrigation canal nearby ); this event helped spur development along Route 66 & 27 – helping Spur economic growth especially during World War II when many businesses moved their headquarters from Chicago because there was plenty of materials available here

Evanston, Wyoming is a census-designated place in Kearney County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 1,907 at the 2010 census. Evanston is located on the north bank of the Laramie River and has a total area of 18 square miles (46 km²). It is part of the Great Plains region. Evanston was founded in 1854 by settlers from Illinois who were looking for a new home after leaving Nauvoo, Illinois. The town site was chosen because it had good soil and was close to water supplies. The first post office opened in Evanston on November 12, 1854. The town became an important center for cattle production during the early years of its existence. A large number of buildings were erected in Evanston to accommodate this activity, including a stockyards and barns. In 1865 the first Territorial Legislature convened in Evanston and passed legislation establishing Laramie County as a separate county within Wyoming Territory. This act created much neededurbuilding resources for the new county and helped spur development around Evanston. The population of Evanston increased rapidly during the late 19th century due to waves of immigration from all over America seeking opportunities in what was then an inhospitable land economy. By 1910 there were more than 2,000 residents living in Evanston proper and another 500+ people living scattered throughout rural Kearney County neighborhoods just south of town on both sides of the river. During World War I many residents served in various units within Idaho or other states; some even went off to fight overseas while their families remained behind at home. When World War II began many residents enlisted with military service throughout America; however, only about one-third returned home alive. Despite this tragic fate most locals always maintain strong ties with their military counterparts who have been deeply appreciated by everyone who knows them. In recent years there has been significant growth around Evanston as businesses expand into new areas such as transportation services, professional sports teams (eager to attract larger audiences), entertainment venues (more hotels/resorts are being built closer to downtown), and high school students commuting into Laramie or Fort Collins for classes or work.
Evanston, Wyoming was founded in 1868 by George Washington Carver. The town was named for Evanston, Illinois, which at the time was the largest city in the United States.
