In recent decades there have been efforts to revive interest in Cheyenne; including donations from Google CEO Larry Page and actor Ashton Kutcher. In 2013-14 local officials announced plans for a new cultural attraction called “Cheynee Village” that would include art galleries, theaters, restaurants, nightlife venues and public square/market areas within walking distance of downtown buildings
