Whitewater is a town in the Whitewater River valley of southern Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,689 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Whitewater–Oconomowoc metropolitan area. The first Holster company was founded in 1875 by George Wightman and J.M. Morse, two men who had come to work for one of the earlyWisconsin grain elevators. Whitewater is a town in Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Fox River and is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Whitewater is about 12 miles (19 km) south of Milwaukee and about 18 miles (29 km) northwest of Racine. The first Europeans to visit what is now Whitewater were Jesuit missionaries in 1639-40 who named it after a small stream called "Witwaters" which they discovered near their settlement at Waukesha. The name may be derived from the Ojibwe word "watka", meaning "I cannot tell you how." In 1795, surveyor John Putnam built a sawmill here on theFox River; it was destroyed by fire in 1836. In 1837, Major James Kapp established an Arsenal here for using surplus federal firearms that he had acquired during his military campaigns in Upper Canada and Michigan. He also erected a gristmill, cheese factory, wagon factory, blacksmith shop and other buildings here. In 1846-47 he built another sawmill and gristmill at Cashtown on the Fox River; these mills are still standing today but have been badly damaged by flooding over the years. In 1865 Congress passes an act providing for land acquisition in present-day Door County for purposes of developingmineral resources; this act led to Whitewater's incorporation as a town on March 1, 1865. The first post office opened in Whitewater on April 1, 1865.; its ZIP code was 54609 then 54614 before being cut off from Dunnville when that city became Racine on July 15th 2006
There is a long and varied history of handguns in the United States. holsters have been around since at least the 1800s, and today they are an important part of American self-defense culture. The first handguns in America were pistols designed by 17th century Dutchman Hendrickxsz Valk for use in European warfare. These weapons were difficult to carry and used small caliber ammunition, so it was necessary to find a way to holster them. In 1836, John Browning designed his first revolver using a gunsmith’s forge to create what would become known as the Browning BAR ( breechloading autoloader rifle). The BAR became one of the most popular handguns ever made and was widely used by law enforcement and military personnel throughout the 19th century. Early handguns were typically single shot Weapons incapable of firing more than one round per minute due their small capacity magazines. Holsters were developed to solve this problem as well as other issues related to carrying such as grip safety/firearm retention etc., which helped make handgun ownership more accessible for civilians as well as providing increased firepower for law enforcement officers when needed. One early example of this type of holster is seen on drawings from circa 1868 showing “Dragoons” pistols being worn by US Cavalry Officers during Indian Wars era ( see Figure 1 ). By 1870-1871, revolvers had evolved into what we know today as pistols with multiple shots per minute capability through development of magazineloader devices such as those patented by Colt & Company in 1873 called Colt–Browning Double Action Pistol ( DAP). This provided users with more flexibility when carrying these firearms nightclub security guard; however even with this new technology, holster manufacturers still found it necessary to develop unique designs for each individual firearm based on its specific mission/usage
