Since the early 1800s, handguns have been a mainstay in the American arsenal. However, handguns and rifles were not always paired together. In 1851, an act was passed that allowed shotguns to be registered with the government. This change in law allowed shotgun manufacturers to build shotguns that could only fire one shot at a time. Shotgun chokes became popular and helped improve the accuracy of shotguns. The early firearm choke tubes were made from brass or iron and had two nuts that connected the tube to the barrel. The barrel was then threaded into the choke tube using a set of four rotating screws. When fired, these screws caused the powder gases inside of the choke tube to detonate, forcing the ballisticsetter (the person who measured ballistic performance) to adjust how tight or loose his choke was on his gun. This type of firearm choke is still used today on some older firearms, such as pump-action rifles and shotguns

When this type of choke is set up, it blocks all rounds from firing until the user manually releases the trigger. Electronic Gun Choke- A electronic grip-style choke uses electronics to create a tighter fit than a manual or automated choke. This type can be used with firearms that have an electronic safety system such as Glock pistols and Berettas.

Whitewater is a town in Whitewater County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,907 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay–Stout Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Whitewater was James Laughlin in 1836. He and his family built a log cabin on the Racine River near present-day Whitefish Point. The Laughlin cabin served as a stopping point for travelers going downstream to Lake Michigan or upriver to Fond du Lac or Chicago. In 1845, John Crouch settled on the east side of the river where he erected a log cabin and started a small farmstead. A post office called Whitefish Point was established in 1847, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903. In 1865, Abraham Lincoln visited Whitewater while campaigning for president; he stopped at the town hall to report on his progress from Illinois to Iowa. The Lincolns were entertained by John Prentice and wife Hetty Wright at their home during their stay which included dinner at Prentice's restaurant on October 11th 1865 where they learned about whitewater rafting from him and his brother-in-law Levi Price Lincoln traveled downriver again that day when he left Green Bay for Milwaukee en route to Prairie du Chien (now Waukesha). He reached Whitewater just before dark and spent the night there before continuing downstream the next day to what is now Waukesha County. After staying overnight at another local ranch house, he continued downriver that day to Manitowoc (now Milwaukee), arriving there early morning on October 12th 1865. On November 3rd 1865, President Abraham Lincoln made an appearance along with General Ulysses S Grant at what is now known as "The Republican National Convention" held at The Palace Theatre in Milwaukee – this event marked the beginning of Reconstruction in America following the Civil War In 1896, voters approved passage of Act 184 which created Whitewater Township within Whitewater County . On November 10th 1896 act 184 was amended increasing its size from 15 square miles (39 km²) to 50 square miles (122 km²) . On December 4th 1897 act 184 became effective providing for establishment of school districts within township boundaries . There are still some areas that fall within village borders today such asGlenview & West Allis located inside Village limits while other areas such as East Allis located outside village boundaries have been annexed into Village limits over time

The town of Whitewater, Wisconsin was established in 1854 by settlers from Ohio. The community was named for the Whitewater River, which ran through the town. The first settler in Whitewater was James Matson, who built a cabin on the bank of the river. In 1855, Andrew J. Smith and his family bought land in the town and started to live there. In 1857, John Fetterman built a cotton gin in Whitewater. In 1865, Isaac Iversen moved to Whitewater and began to farm land there. In 1870, John Wirth founded a flour mill in Whitewater. By 1880, there were 10 businesses inWhitewater with a total payroll of $10,000. By 1890, the population had increased to about 100 people and most of the businesses had been replaced by stores or warehouses. In 1907, the city of Milwaukee annexed much of southernWhitewater into its jurisdiction and this led to many changes for Whitewater residents including more than doubling their number of jobs at local mills while also creating new shopping centers and other physical features that can still be seen today such as Interstate 90 across from the town limits
Whitewater is a city in and the county seat of Whitewater County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 6,906 at the 2010 census. The first white person to live in what is now Whitewater was George Washington Carver. He settled there in 1874. His farm became the nucleus of what is now Whitewater City. The city was founded on April 15, 1892 when the Minnesota-Wisconsin Bridge Company laid out a road from Milwaukee to Green Bay through what is today Whitewater Township and village of Racine. The town site included most of present day Whitewater City and much of its eastern side as well as much of West Side Township north of the Milwaukee River. The first post office opened in 1893 and continued operation until it closed on November 1, 1905. There were several other early settlements before Whitewater City began to grow rapidly: Hennepin Grove (1896), Davenport (1901), Appleton (1902), Milwaukee Heights (1907), Sheboygan Falls (1914), Menomonee Falls (1920), Racine (1925)
