As the town of Whitewater, Wisconsin grew up in the early 1800s, it was inherent that the townspeople would adopt a firearms-related lifestyle. One such activity was keeping handguns and other firearms stored on their properties. One of the earliest firearm hat shops in Whitewater was opened by John A. Meyers in 1856. The shop sold both pistols and shotguns, as well as pistol grip hats and rifle caps. It is also likely that John A. Meyers operated his shop out of his home, as no business license could be found for him when he died in 1872. After John A. Meyers’ death, his son Amos continued to run the store until1892 when Amos’ widow started operations under the name “Aunt Emmalee”s Gun Shop & Pistol House Incorporated. At this point, Aunt Emmalee began to sell rifles and shotguns only; she did not continue to sell handguns or hats. By 1916 however, Aunt Emmalee had closed her doors for good due to health concerns; her son Amos reopened the store with new ownership but continued selling firearms only sporadically until 1941 when he passed away at age 87 years old . The current owner of Aunt Emmalee’s Gun Shop & Pistol House Incorporated first opened the business in 1951 after purchasing it from Amos’ widow . In 1976/1977 an addition was added which doubled capacity for storage; this addition is still present today . From 1951 through 1976/1977, Aunt Emmalee’s Gun Shop & Pistol House Incorporated served as a testing ground for many new gun designs before they were put into production ; some notable products that were tested here include The Model 10 30-round magazine fed shotgun (1951), The Browning BAR 20mm cannon (1957), and The Glock 19 9mm handgun (1978). Additionally during these years two different types of Hats were manufactured: a police officer hat (1951) and a frightened animal hat (1957). These hats are now long gone but can still be found at various auction sites across America

This discovery led to colonization of this area by American settlers and development of whitewater rafting as a sport soon thereafter. In 1851, Andrew Carnegie founded the first steel company in America in Green Bay when he bought land east of Green Bay for $10 per acre (!). Steel production began slowly but steadily over time as mills were built around areas such as Racine and Milwaukee which produced both wrought iron and cast iron products for export worldwide including Whitewater itself where Iron Age artifacts have been found dating back to 4000 BC! By 1875, more than 150 mills operated around Racine alone withWhitewater serving as one of the leading centers for transportation along with other river towns like Sheboygan and Manitowoc.. In 1890s another mill building program started that eventually produced over 2 million tons annually from local plants! During World War II, many people from Racine worked at shipyards throughout Midwest making munitions needed for war efforts including USS "Wisconsin" (BB-63) which carried out strikes against Japan during her conversion into an aircraft carrier! The town experienced rapid growth following hostilities halted however during peacetime businesses sector dwindled followed by declines starting around 2000 Alewife Street/Whitewater High School until revitalization occurred beginning with operations taking place on Main Street completed in early 2013 across 3 blocks spearheaded by Mayor Tom Barrett who has championed redevelopment opportunities since coming to office 9 years ago!
