Weston, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located on the eastern border of the Badger State and just east of Lake Superior. The population was 5,841 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago-Naperville-Elgin (Cook County) metropolitan area. The first settler in Weston was Isaac Sears who arrived in 1823 from Illinois. He built a cabin on the western edge of what is now Weston village, within today's town limits. The first school was founded in 1829 and it served as both a day school and an academy until 1868 when it became a high school under control of Cook County School District #1. In 1886, Weston became a city with its own charter and began to use that name for all municipal purposes except for high schools which continued to be known as “Weston High School” until 1971 when they were reincorporated into Cook County Schools system as Weston City High School In 1969, according to Town History book 1 pages 256-257; "On October 15th 1969 (the date marked by history), Weston replaced its original city charter with one that granted more powers to the townspeople than ever before." The new charter specifically allowed for annexation by neighboring towns—a process that had not been possible since 1886 without prior unanimous approval from both sides of thetown government; this happened because at that time annexation only applied to villages which met certain criteria such as having a population greater than five hundred people and creating an agricultural or industrial center; these days annexations are much more common due to growing densities across Cook County." In 1973–1974 developer John Dvorak invested $5 million dollars into developing what would become downtown Weston which included demolition of several buildings including Mayor James Pohl's old office building on Main Street which still stands today next door to local landmark restaurant Jardin Blanchette & Co.. At this time this area was home to many small businesses including two grocery stores: Grist Mill Grocery Store & Fred Meyer Supermarket Dvorak also established his own real estate company named Development Corporation Of America which developed over 60 acres near downtown where he planned his soontobe world famous "City Park" development including office towers, retail shops, restaurants and other uses similar in concept but never realized due primarily to economic difficulties caused by recession during late 1970s through early 1980s When Development Corporation Of America failed could lead directly to bankruptcy later that decade affecting many small businesses throughout entire downtown core

Weston, Wisconsin is located in the Iron Range of Northwestern Wisconsin. It was laid out in 1855 as a town and named after George Weston, an official in the U.S. Survey Department who had traveled through the area. The first settler in Weston was Joshua Dunham, who built a cabin on the east side of the river in 1857. In 1861, John Hargrave founded Hargrave Farms on land that he had bought from wealthy Isaac Chauncey. The first store opened at Hargrave Farms in 1865 and by 1870 there were seven stores and two hotels in Weston. By 1895, there were twelve stores and two hotels with a population of 1,500 people. In 1915, following World War I, Weston became part of the new state of Wisconsin based on its large iron ore reserves. At this time it had a population of 10,000 people and fifteen businesses employing over one hundred workers including four banks and six grocery stores. In 1925 Wade Hampton Jr., then Governor of Wisconsin appointed Westbrook Cottage as the town's first post office which remains operational to this day as Post Office #1 (westonpostoffice1@aol). During World War II Weston produced more than seventy thousand military vehicles for use by the United States Army during World War II alone; these included tanks, artillery pieces and trucks. In 1970-71 William Sorensen ran for Mayor against incumbent Harry Ladd with only 3% support but won with 51% of the vote becoming mayor for three terms from 1971 to 1981 before running unsuccessfully for governor against Richard Moseley in 1986 With its high school now closed down due to low enrollment it has been used as a storage lot by local farmers since it reopened to residents again back in 2001
Weston, Wisconsin was first settled by the Chippewa people in the early eighteenth century. The town was named after General John Weston, who helped lead an American army against French forces in 1763. In 1837, the town became a part of the nearby city of Milwaukee. By 1920, Weston had a population of about 1,000 residents and was located across the street from what is now known as City Hall.
