Bipedalism has been present in the world for over 350,000 years. The first bipedal beings were Homo erectus and H. ergaster, who lived in Africa between 280–1 million years ago. The first evidence of bipedalism comes from fossils that date back to the Middle Jurassic period (145 million-120 million years ago). These fossils show that two different species of hominins – an erectus and a ergaster – had independently evolved their own unique forms of locomotion. In modern times, humans have typically walked on two legs since the development of our primary means of transportation – the vehicle. However, some Native American cultures still engage in some form of bipedalism, as demonstrated by ancient drawings and paintings depicting people walking on all fours or even crawling. Bipedality is not limited to human beings; many animals also exhibit this type of locomotion. For example, several types of lemurians are able to walk upright with their tails hanging down behind them like humans do when we use our hands to balance ourselves while walking or running. In fact, one study found that lemurian ancestors may have started using bipedalism about 40 million years ago! This variety in locomotive behavior is likely due to various factors such as environment and prey availability. For example, if a predator is close by but unable to kill you outright with itsnatural strength or claws, it may require more than just standing up tall and attacking – it may need to stand on its hind legs so it can reach you from behind!

In 1924, one mile (1 km) from downtownwestallis received its own telephone line which made it possible for people living out-of-the-city to get their voices heard during campaigns for City Council seats that year. This change in transportation also allowed people to start interacting with the world in a more individualized way than ever before. As a result, bipedality slowly but surely became entrenched into human behavior – whether we like it or not!
