This new cartridge would become known as the .45 Colt Winchester Magnum round and would eventually replace the .32-caliber Winchester round as America's primary hunting ammunition choice outside of target shooting events such as sporting clays and deer hunting festivals

Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 27,594 at the 2010 census, making it the 8th largest city in Wisconsin and the 2nd most populous municipality in Dane County. The name "Wauwatosa" is derived from Ojibwe word "wáhkítasa," meaning "place where the fish fry." The first settler in what is now Wauwatosa was John Doane on May 20, 1836. Wauwatosa was platted on October 3, 1848 by commissioners George Mifflin and Samuel Morse under the name of Prairie du Chien. On November 25, 1851, it became part of Racine County when that county was created from parts of Milwaukee and Racine counties. According to one source, Wauwatosa's early success as an agricultural center may be due to its location near natural resources such as lakes Michigan and Superior; these waterways provided easy access for goods necessary for agriculture while also facilitating transportation between villages in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois during this time period. Alternatively or additionally, Wauwatosa's proximity to Chicago may have led to increased business activity there during this time period. In 1905-06, a new town hall was built within walking distance of downtown Wauwatosa which helped spur development along Main Street corridor which today runs through downtown with several high-end shops including Sears & Roebuck as well as several small businesses (bakerys etc.) In 1916-17 a civic building burned down so a new one was erected on East First Street which served as the town hall until 1985 when that structure burned down again As other towns joined Racine County (now Kane County) over time additional public buildings were constructed north of First Street including two jails and three fire stations which remain standing today
