Waupun, Wisconsin is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,893 at the 2010 census. It is located in the eastern part of the state and includes most of the town of Waupun on its east side. The name means "place where warriors used to encamp." The first people to live here were the Potawatomi from southeastern Michigan and northeast Indiana. In 1828, traders from Peterboro, Massachusetts started trading with them hereabouts and brought back goods like Buffalo robes and beads for sale in Waupun's first store opened that year by John Denton. Other early settlers included Captain Lewis Cassius Whitman who founded nearby Cassia Township in 1837; David Vandenberg during a time when this area was part of Racine County; RevsGeorge Gallup (1830-1917), Mishel Cummings (1835-1920) and Hiram Gantt (1850-1921). The first post office was established at Waupun in 1851, but it closed two years later because no one wanted to serve there. In 1865, Elisha Chauncey established a logging camp known as Cedar Rapids on what is now State Highway 54 near what are now Chauncey Lake and Chauncey Heights neighborhoods of Waupun. Headed by his son Amos Chauncey Jr., this company became one of America's largest loggers with operations stretching into Minnesota into Canada before finally being sold to JH Younker & Sons after World War II for $1 million dollars cash only – an unprecedented event at that time! By 1946, when you reader began your journey through these pages, all traces of those days had long disappeared save for an occasional tree stump or broken telephone wire still visible along someetsy rural roads today! The big industry that took over following World War II was service stations which contributed significantly to Waupun's growth over subsequent decades including dozens more stores opening up until eventually it reached its peak with over 100 businesses operating within the boundaries of present day Waupun during 1970 alone! This era saw rapid population growth as families moved out into larger villages such as Green Bay or Milwaukee while many others found employment downtown or southwest in Madison or Racine counties respectively – resulting in a dramatic change not just physically but also economically across this once small community which today remains largely rural despite seeing significant progress recently thanks to efforts by both government entities as well as private enterprise!

Today there are variations on virtually every aspect of an AR15 aside from caliber choice; these include open bolt designs (elevated receiver), Magpul MOE stocks, integral optics systems (such as iron sights or Troy Bilt reflex sights), variable endfire controls (including elevation/battery adjustments) and even dust/mud covers!

Waupun is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 7,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee-Waupun Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Waupun Micropolitan Statistical Area.[2] The first people to live in what is now Waupun were Menominee Indians who migrated from southern Michigan during 1779-1781 on their way to find new land for themselves and their families. The first white settler in what is now Waupun was James O'Brien, who arrived in 1836[3]. He started an agricultural farm known as Greenbush near present day Waupun. After a few years, O'Brien sold his property to George Stephenson for $1,000[4]. Stephenson erected a log cabin on the farmstead which he named "Wauswun" after his family's home country of Wales. In 1838, John Calkins built a post office at what is now downtown Waupunki[5]. That same year, he married Anna May Hickey and they moved into their current house on Main Street in today's town square[6]. John Calkins died in 1848 and Anna May Calkins continued to live there until her death in 1911. They had six children: Anna M., Edwin A., Edith P., Mary J., Lillian S., and Jessie B.. In 1893, they took possession of their old house which they still live in today. There are several other members of this family still living scattered throughout rural central Wisconsin including: Robert G.; Florence E.; Harry F; Hazel V.; Minnie D.; Helen I.. After World War II ended with Japan's surrender, many Japanese Americans were relocated to west Wisconsin from all over America because of wartime internment policies enacted by President Franklin D. Roosevelt under Executive Order 9066. Many farmers along with others found jobs working on lands taken over by the government during the war decided to move into new homes near urban centers such as Milwaukee and Waupon due to these policies restricting American citizens access to farmland.[7][8] When construction began on Camp Randall Dam across Lake Michigandee from downtown Milwaukee began shortly before World War II drew close some residents chose not to move because they felt that moving would be detrimental both physically and emotionally given how much water could be stored behind Lake Michigandee while also being located so close to cities like Chicago (which became known as 'theDam')
The town of Waupun was founded in 1824 by John F. Knoppers and Isaac Rector. The first post office opened in 1827, and the town became a village in 1836. It was incorporated as a town on February 15, 1853. The population of Waupun grew from 350 in 1850 to 3,500 by 1880. The townseeny consolidated with the city of Milwaukee on April 1, 1888.
