The township grew rapidly due to farmsteads being constructed along streams that converged near present day Marquette Avenue/Wauconda Road/Angle Park Road and Whitefish Bayou (now Menasha Bay). On March 15th 1948 wisconsin Statute No 987 provided for impeachment proceedings against members or officers of state institutions if they knew or should have known their actions would be detrimental to public policy or reflect negatively on their political careers outside of those institutions In 1976 fire broke out at an abandoned chemical plant site in Wilton Hills which caused extensive damage including $2 million worth of equipment destroyed including 6 tanks filled with nerve gas! A few months later another plant nearby also caught fire but this time there were no injuries because everyone had run away! After both plants fires Illinois Environmental Protection Agency inspectors found high levels of arsenic and other toxins both inside & outside buildings!! They also determined that these plants did not meet safety regulations set by federal law

Waukesha is a town in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 21,721 at the 2010 census. The name "Waukesha" comes from the Potawatomi word wahi-kasa meaning "sleep on the prairies." The first white person to settle in what is now Waukesha County was James Armstrong in 1834. He built a cabin on the banks of the Fox River. In 1836, Captain John Maynard opened up a ferry across the Fox River and started trade with settlers in eastern Wisconsin. In 1838, Waukeesha became a part of Racine County and later Racine Township. By 1840, there were over 100 people living in Waukeesha. A store and post office were established here in 1845 and named after Nathaniel Bacon (1784-1854), an early settler who donated land for a public square near his home on West Washington Street. In 1870, when Racine Township was organized, it included all of what is now Waukesha County except parts of Milwaukee and Green Bay. When Racine Township was dissolved in 1893, its land became part of Milwaukee County.In 1906, Major General John J Pershing called for American participation in World War I during an address to students at Marquette Universitys Law School in Chicago. After America entered into war on April 6th 1918 as one of two countries still neutrality-the other being Germany-, many businesses closed their doors throughout the country as patriotic Americans made donations to charity or went into military service
