After World War I, the gun range reopened and became known as Waukesha Rifle Range. It continued to operate until 1960 when it closed again due to budget cuts. In 1961, the rifle range was turned into a shotgun range and still operates today. The Waukesha Rifle Range is currently home to the Green Bay Gunsmiths Shooting School which offers instruction for children from pre-kindergarten through high school age on various firearms topics such as shotguns and rifles.
