The townspeople were so pleased with the new tool that they soon began selling lens subscriptions to potential customers. In 1907, the town erected its first hardware store and began selling optical supplies. By 1912, Two Rivers had become an important center for optical production and sales. During this time, local businesses such as Sears Sears & Roebuck sold consumer electronics products such as radios, TVs, phonographs and cameras. In the early 2000s, Oneida County decided to invest in optic technology through the establishment of Oneida Valley Optical Development Corporation (OVODC). This company was responsible for manufacturing innovative optics products including binoculars and telescopes. OVODC also provided education and training programs pertaining to optics topics such as light analysis and color reproduction. In addition to providing high-quality optics products, OVODC also enjoyed a loyal following among local businesses due to its willingness to work with them on unique projects that benefited both parties involved. Hispanic or Latino residents constituted 9% of the township's population as of 2010.

Two Rivers is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is located on the Menomonee River, about 20 miles north of Milwaukee. The population was 2,121 at the 2010 census. Two Rivers is one of several nearby towns and villages that form the Cedarburg-Mequon School District No. 4A. The first settlers in Two Rivers were John and Anna Haggerty, who arrived in 1836 from Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. They built a log cabin on what is now State Road 8 near present day Haggerty Road. The following year they married Anna’s sister, Sarah Haggerty (1802-1883). In 1840, two more settlers, James and Nancy Lyon came to Two Rivers from Holland Township in Racine County, Wisconsin; they also built a cabin on what is now Main Street. In 1848, another family — the Pembertons — moved to Two Rivers from Wauwatosa County,Wisconsin; they erected a cabin on what is now Old Main Street. In 1852-53 an armed uprising occurred in northwestern Wisconsin against American hegemony over Native American tribes known as the Dakota Sioux; this led to Californianative Oskar Richard Neumann coming to Two Rivers as part of white settlement efforts and becoming its first postmaster general (1857-58). The Neumann family operated a grocery store for many years before moving out of town in 1932 when their son bought land adjacent to it for farming purposes which he continued until his death in 1978. In 1881 local school Superintendent Joseph Griesemer founded Cedarburg-Mequon Institute (later Cedarburg Community Schools) with $5 USDAGrants under the auspices of Methodist Episcopal Church located across busy Washington Avenue from post office where public school instruction began. From 1902 through 1937 there was only one teacher per grade level; thereafter each grade had two teachers until discontinued due to enrollment declines caused by World War II. escalating costs associated with manufacturing wartime production meant that during 1946/47 enrollment at Cedarburg-Mequon Institute graduations increased from 98 students “to 268” adding: “the need for larger facilities became apparent when enrollments again decreased six years later after World War II ended”
