In Two Rivers, Wisconsin, the first firearms were used in 1846. The town was founded by fur traders in 1847 and soon became a center for gun trade. In 1854, the first shotgun was created in this town. By 1870, handguns had become common in Two Rivers and many of the firearmsmiths who developed them here were also responsible for creating some of the most iconic handguns ever made- such as the Colt Single Action Army revolver and Smith & Wesson Model 686 revolver. Today, there are over 200 gunsmiths operating in Two Rivers alone and they continue to create new guns and accessories. Many of these talented craftsmen have been involved with developinggun triggers technology dating back to the early 1800s. One particular trigger company that has managed to keep its name afloat throughout all these years is American Gun Triggers Corporation (AGTC). AGTC’s story began back when two brothers named George and Harry started their own business at 5th Avenue and Main Street in downtown Two Rivers. From their small shop, American Gun Triggers quickly became one of Milwaukee’s leading manufacturers of firearm triggers. During prohibition, AGTC produced some of Milwaukee’s most popular revolvers- including the Model 3200 Magnum Thompson pistol which came in both 9mm Luger caliber and .357 Magnum calibers. Throughout Prohibition era AGTC also continued to produce trigger products for other law enforcement agencies around the United States- even using their Trigger Tech line as a source for parts for larger rifles like Remington 700™ models. With all this experience under their belt, George and Harry decided it was time to move production eastward into Illinois where they opened a new factory called “The Factory” near Chicago on State Street in 1921. This factory would become one of AGTC’s biggest success stories as it helped increase sales by 50% during World War II while manufacturing shotguns such as the Winchester Model 1300™ chambered for 7mm ammunition! After World War II ended, AGTC once again shifted its focus towards handgun manufacture with its first modern assault rifle being introduced during The Korean War- an important milestone given that pistols were not generally considered weapons of war during that conflict! Heinrich Müller purchased majority ownership from George Hirschfeldt after The Korean War ended- giving AGTC complete independence from Bayerische Flintschützen Gesellschaft (BFG) which then merged into Walther Arms Corporation (WAC) later that same year! At this point German arms manufacturer Heinemann took over management rights from WAC until 1969 when it merged into SIG Sauer Incorporated! Finally after nearly fifty years Fischer Schmeisser Group LLC took over management responsibilities from SIG Sauer Incorporated on October 1st 2006! Fischer Schmeisser Group LLC is still responsible for producing world Class handgun triggers today!

Two Rivers is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,871 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay metropolitan area. The first European to visit Two Rivers was French explorer Pierre-Namur in 1679, who built a fur trading post on the present site of town and named it after his home village, Aix-la-Chapelle, in Belgium. The first permanent settler arrived in 1792 when James Kapp bought land from the La Crosse tribe and built a cabin near what is now its downtown core. Kapp's son, David Kapp, ran an early grocery store and tavern here before becoming one of the earliest landowners in Oneida County with holdings that included much of what is now Two Rivers Township and most of Burnett Township (now Racine). James Kapp III founded another early family business: Waukesha Woolen Mills which operated until 1922; it produced over two million pounds (1,200 metric tons) of cloth each year during its heyday. Another pioneer: John Fetterman opened a general store and bakery at Main Street and South Water Street in 1837 which became one of Two Rivers' largest employers for many years; he also served as mayor from 1841 to 1845 A smallpox epidemic hit Two Rivers in 1847 and killed up to 60% of its residents; however, this event had little impact on local commerce or social life but did cause some damage to public infrastructure such as bridges In 1861 fire destroyed much of downtown Two River while destroying other buildings including the Town Hall which remains standing today as a historical landmark In 1872 General George Armstrong Custer passed through Oneida County on his way to fight against Native Americans near Fort Snelling–Two Rivers was among those communities along with Racine and Green Bay that saw heavy military service during Custer's campaign The original bridge across the Minnesota River was built by Solomon Reinhart just south of town – it replaced an older stone bridge destroyed by fire in 1862 A new bridge was built over the river by contractor JF McCloskey following designs by army engineer Elijah Whitehead – this structure still stands today at State Highway 12/14th Avenue eastside exit off I-94

The development of this type of trigger led to the widespread adoption ofrotary Trigger systems in pistols throughout much of Europe and North America during the 19th century. During World War II, many German pistol manufacturers converted their firearms to use rotary triggers as part of their war effort.
