The Two Rivers Gun Club was founded in 1892. The club began to shoot shotguns at the old American Legion Armory on Superior Avenue. In 1896, they built their own armory on North Fourth Street. They continued to shoots shotguns until 1916 when they switched to rifles. They also started using handguns in 1906.
Two Rivers is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 5,394 at the 2010 census. The name of the town comes from two forks of the Waukesha River which join near its center-two small rivers named after French missionaries who had established a mission there in 1837: bywords "Two Rivers" means both streams. The town was founded in 1865 by farmers and lumbermen who left their original settlements on the north side of the Waukesha River to settle hereabouts. In 1872, Two Rivers became a city with a population of 6,000 people; it declined during the Great Depression but recovered following World War II when manufacturing grew in importance and demand for housing increased. By 1990, however, Two Rivers had lost most of its economic significance and its population had shrunk to 4,500; since then it has experienced an increase in development around its downtown core as well as several new villages that have been incorporations within Two Rivers over time. According to The Daily Review newspaper's 2017 report on demographics for Milwaukee County, two-thirds (67%) of Oneida County residents identify themselves as white or Caucasian while only about one-third (33%) identify themselves as black or African American; almost all (98%) Hispanic residents are also white or Caucasian and just 2% black or African American . It should be noted that these percentages may change over time because many residents move away from either area due to different lifestyles or changes in family compositions – For example Pritzker Heights now predominately contains Hispanics while Oneida City Center largely consists of whites even though this neighborhood used to be majority black before recent gentrification occurred there The Second German Lutheran Church located at 233 S Main Street served as both local congregational church and social hall until October 1st 1922 when it became known simply as "Two Rivers United Methodist Church". The first pastor was Dr John Ayer who officiated at this serviceings until his death on July 14th 1902 . Rev Lewis Strickland officiated from then until he resigned effective October 15th 1922 due to ill health . After his resignation Rev Strickland’s wife [Katharine] took charge for about three months before she too resigned due to health problems on December 3rd 1922 after which Pastor James Kapp took over services from January 9th 1923 through May 30th 1923 . On October 1st 1922 Reverend John Ayer’s body was brought back home and interred next door at “Two Rivers United Methodist Church” where he will remain buried till today
