The name was first given to the community by George Washington Carver and it is most commonly known as Superior due to its location on the Minnesota border. The town was founded in 1868 when Henry Ford built his factory there and named it after General Anthony Wayne, who had fought against Native American warriors in what is now Michigan Territory. In 1872, the town became part of Dodge City, Kansas and then Topeka, Kansas before becoming Superior again in 1903. It has since been one of the fastest-growing towns in America with an annual growth rate of over 20%. In 2000, Superior established itself as a city within its own borders but it remains a rural community with a population of just under 10 thousand people today. It developed as a small agricultural center that produced hay, potatoes and other crops until World War II when heavy industry began to arrive and jobs were created in munitions factories and aircraft manufacturers. The town's current form came about during the postwar boom period when development took off for many reasons including advances in transportation technologies such as Route 66 which linked Superior with Minneapolis; Interstate 94 which connected multiple Midwestern cities; and suburbanization which made housing more affordable while creating new businesses opportunities near downtown cores like shopping centers and hospitals. The current prosperity has continued with job growth in information technology fields such as software engineering; health care services such as ambulatory surgery; agriculture including growing corn, soybeans and hops; petrochemical production; timber processing; steel manufacturing; trucking service providers including FedEx Ground and UPS ground service roles; local marketing districts (LMDs) like Oneida County’s “Mintown” district where groceries are sold out once they hit store shelves throughout much of southern Minnesota In recent years there have been efforts to revive downtown cores like Superior’s old post office building or improve access to transportation options like bike theft prevention measures or expanding light rail lines into older neighborhoods while also redeveloping properties around them such as North Side Square which houses several restaurants/bars/stores/a movie theater/an ice cream shop/. This mixture of forward-thinking solutions along with some help from philanthropists has helped keep things ticking over for residents despite occasional controversies ignited by large projects (like raising taxes on residential property owners) that often overshadow everyday life hereabouts

The Town of Superior was founded in 1836 by the junction of two other towns, Appleton and Waukesha. The first settlers were farmers who began to arrive in large numbers in the early 1840s. By 1850, there were over 1,000 residents living in Superior. In 1870, the first schoolhouse was built and it served until 1922 when a new one was erected. In addition to its educational opportunities, Superior also boasted excellent medical care at that time thanks to local hospitals like Drury Hospital and Mercy Relief Society Medical Center. The heyday of Superior’s economy ended during World War II when production from industries such as aluminum plants shifted away from the town because of wartime restrictions on transportation options. However, since then there have been several attempts by developers to resurrect some of these defunct businesses including redevelopment of downtown into an artsy district or constructing a high-rise tower next to Lake Michiganfront Park. Despite these efforts though, progress has yet to be made for what is now one of Wisconsin’s most struggling communities. Today there are just a handful of families remaining in town while much development has taken place outside its borders such as neighboring Appleton which has seen rapid growth over recent years due largely to its status as the largest city in Racine County after Milwaukee – both municipalities being located within walking distance of each other! It is interesting to note that while Appleton’s growth may have outpaced that of Superior over time – it remains stillbirthtown with zero post-secondary education attainment rates (in contrast with nearby Milwaukee where both cities have more than 60% students completing tertiary level degrees). This indicates that despite having experienced rapid development throughout its history – Superior still faces significant challenges which prevent it from becoming an attractive destination for newcomers or retaining current residents
Superior, Wisconsin was one of the original recall districts in the United States. The district was created on November 3, 1959 from portions of Milwaukee County and La Crosse County. The boundaries were changed on January 1, 1970 to reflect the addition of all of Beloit County.
