A stamping process is then applied on the front face of these receivers which prevents them from moving during fire thus resulting in better accuracy oncefired by the user without affecting their Barrel Length sleekness! These types of Receivers typically use metal parts instead of plastic making them more resistant against corrosion unlike Floating Receivers which tend To corrode Plastic Parts over time
The Superior Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1873. It became a state-chartered organization in 1907. The club’s first rifle was a Model 1873 made by the Springfield Armory Company of Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1908, the club acquired its own barrel factory, and began producing rifles under the name “Superior Arsenal & Rifle Company.” In 1915, the company became part of International Harvester Corporation. In 1924, Superior Arsenal & Rifle Company merged with Winchester Arms Co., Incorporated to form Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation (WRAC). WRAC produced pump shotguns starting in 1932 until 1957 when it discontinued production due to World War II regulations prohibiting military firearms production.
Superior, Wisconsin is a village in the town of Superior, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay–Stout metropolitan area. The village was platted on February 16, 1854 by citizens of Green Bay and its surrounding towns as a way to consolidate land holdings into one place. In 1857 it became the county seat for Janesville County. The first post office in Superior opened on November 2, 1857. In 1916 Superior became an incorporated city and remained so until 2000 when it reverted to its original status as a village

In 1865, the first post office was established in Superior and the name was changed to Superior Post Office #1. In 1872, a sawmill was built in Superior and the name was changed to North Western Mill & Saw Company. The mill continued to operate until it closed in 1938. In 1916, a library service began in Superior and it continues today as the Milwaukee County Library System. In 1928, a hospital opened in Superior and it continues to operate today as Memorial Hospital Inc.
