In 1922, Harry Sievers bought Kopp's Liquor Store and changed its name to Suamico Grocery & Meat Market. In 1932, Julius Singer opened his own grocery store called Sievers' Supermarket which remains open today as Wellmark Supermarkets Inc.. In 1945, Arlene and John Doe founded the Ladies Auxiliary of Suamico society to help support local women during World War II. They raised money for war supplies through sales of candy bars and other items they produced themselves at their store. Their efforts helped contribute to American victory over Nazi Germany. The society disbanded in 1972 but continued to operate as a charitable organization until it merged with Women's International League (WIL) in 2003 under the name suamsilo foundation international corp.] In 1984, Susannah Jaffe married Drury Weiser who also resided in Menomonie then moved to Green Bay later that year when he became Superintendent of Schools for Racine County; however he returned home on vacation in 1985 so she continued working full time at SUAMICO without pay until her retirement on October 1st 2000] On November 30th 2006 Arlene passed away suddenly after many years battled with ovarian cancer costing her life just shy of her hundredth birthday specialty cake made by children for charity fund raisers] As a result of Arlene’s death donations from our bake sale proceeds went towards research into ovarian cancer prevention chemotherapy treatments by Johnson & Johnson Canada[and we were able to raise over $1200 which will be donated back into our charity] Now it is thru fundraises such as these along side major events like Car Sharing day every 4th Saturday we are able to keep our doors open extra long!

The city has since grown to include over twenty-five thousand residents. Many businesses have been located in Suamico, including four hospitals, two food stores, three liquor stores, two banks and fifteen churches.SUAMICO is known for its cheese products which are exported around the world.
