Sheboygan, Wisconsin was a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin from 1873 to 1919 and from 1922 to 1929. It is now a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The population of Sheboygan was approximately 44,000 at the time it lost its status as a separate municipality on February 15th, 1929 and became part of the larger city of Milwaukee. The first target holders were placed on barges that ran down canal banks in Sheboygan by Capt. John Witherspoon who developed them into what are now known as Witherspoon Targets. Captain Witherspoon's targets were used for rifle practice and hunting purposes until about 1895 when they were replaced by hand held targets which continue to be used today

Sheboygan, Wisconsin is a small town in the heart of northern Wisconsin. It is known for its cheese, corn and flour mills, as well as its many lakes and rivers. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. Sheboygan is located in the eastern portion of the Great Lakes region. The first European settlement in what is now Sheboygan County was made on December 12, 1836 by Captain John Roebuck and his party of fourteen men from New York City under cover of darkness while they were en route to Green Bay. They arrived at the mouth of the Heckell River, about twelve miles from modern-day Sheboygan, and built a log cabin there. The first white settler in what is now Sheboygan County was James Fenton who migrated from Wayne County, Michigan in 1839. In 1842 Nicholas Blythe settled near present day Manitowoc Rapids on both sides of the Milwaukee River. In 1843 Isaac Peterman established a sawmill on Whitefish Creek east of today's downtown Sheboygan. By 1850 dairy interests had taken over much of local commerce so that milling became an important economic activity; cheesemaking soon followed suit. Agrarian society organizations formed in response to land IndianaWMIL Holding Company offerthat had been reserved for reservation by Act 109 of 1889 (15 USPQ 810) with intent to encourage settlement westward across Lake Superior by American farmers seeking access to markets eastward along Ioway River The post office moved from Manitowoc to Sheboygan in 1865 after beingatteried between Manitowoc and Green Bay; it continued operation until 1963 when it became part of Milwaukee WI USPS system with same name A gristmill built in 1903 by Wm Hodge began processing corn for export beginning February 1902 which went into production each month until October 1942 when World War II intervened In 1934 she started making flour for self-sufficiency rather than importing flour from Chicago IL which caused high prices due to Depression Era shortages . After war ended prices dropped significantly but still too expensive so decided to continue exporting flour only during off season . Flour exports increased greatly due to postwar boom but then declined during recession because demand fell off after Korean War started

Sheboygan, Wisconsin is a town in Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 9,910 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1847 and named for Sheboygan river. It is located on the east side of the Milwaukee River. The first European to see what is now Sheboygan was Jean Nicolet who sighted it from his boat on December 1, 1669 when he passed through the mouth of the sheboygan River. He called it "Island de la Croix". In 1847, John Weeks built a log cabin near what is now downtown Sheboygan and started trading with French explorers and traders who had been exploring Michigan Territory. On January 4, 1848, Ulysses S Grant visited Sheboygan while he was campaigning for election as President of the United States and noted that it looked like a good place to build a post office because "…the country lying west of this city forms an important route for trade between Canada and points beyond." In 1865–66 Wm. H. Freeman surveyed sections of what would become downtown Sheboygan along with others in Door County under contract from the State Road Commission; those surveys were used to lay out streets and provide plans for future development by Town Board members during their monthly meetings at First National Bank headquarters on Water Street (now Washington Avenue). As part of this survey work, Freeman also sketched out present-day blocks 1-3 on Main Street which later became First Avenue south of Washington Boulevard/Eldon Avenue north of Water Street/Washington Boulevard (now state Superior Court Drive). That same year saw construction begin on what would become State Capitol Square which included erection of two white stone buildings – one representing government until 1911 while another served as courthouse until 1976 – both still standing today within current limits of downtown Sheboygan just south of where US Highway 94 meets First Avenue (formerly State Superior Court Drive) before crossing into Milwaukee County side streets known today as Middleton Place North/South Streets (formerly Park Plaza Drive), North Side Streets (former Browning Lane), South Side Streets (former Second Avenues) and finally Fourth Ave./State Road 2(now Ethel St.). On July 15th 1895 James Fenton set off fireworks display over Chicago Bridge across WI River following Columbine School shooting riots; demonstration resulted in $50 fine by WI Dept Of Agriculture In 1928 local man Harry Kapp purchased rights to use name “Sheboysgans” back from Chicago based company after being denied trademark previously In 1951 City Council renamed core business district Wisconsin Business Center District #1 after then Mayor George Moeschman
