The River Falls holster company was founded in 1892. The first holster made from leather was the "Rifle Holster." It consisted of a rectangular piece of leather with a pistol grip and a qualitatively padded shoulder strap.
River Falls is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the county seat of Douglas County. The population was 38,573 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha–Stout Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to visit River Falls was Jean Nicolet in 1639, but he did not find it attractive because it had no water supply and no mills since then the falls have been managed by local families for centuries until 1912 when a group of men from New England donated 8 million dollars to improve infrastructure and make River Falls a more tourist destination. In 1912, construction began on what would become known as Main Street which connected downtown with North Park on one side and Addison Grove on the other side which today forms its eastern border. In 1916, main street was widened to four lanes making it possible for larger cars to cross at both ends while still providing passage for pedestrians. This event helped change River Falls from an agricultural community into a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful scenery as well as its delicious products such asWisconsin apples, cheese, farm eggs and angus beef cattle

River Falls is a village in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. River Falls was platted in 1837 and named for the falls that run through it. The first settler to arrive in what is now River Falls was George Snelling and his family in 1836. He built a log cabin on the banks of the river where he would live until his death in 1850. John Fenton arrived about same time and built a cabin on the east side of town near present-day Park Avenue. In 1838, Nicholas Hargrave settled downstream from where Fenton had lived, but he never moved into town because he did not want to compete with Fenton's businesses or build close to him on valuable land which he already owned. In 1840, James Leland bought some land upstream from Hargrave and began building what became known as Leland's Landing on the current site of River Falls High School. In 1843, John Denny came downriver from Rock Island and started trading goods with local farmers for lumber and other materials needed to build his new millenium bridge begun construction by himself just north of town - also known as The Denny Bridge or “Denny’s Bridge” today! Denny soon realized that there were so many good soils available along both sides of the Mississippi River that he decided to move his business further upriver into Racine County when seed money became available from American Express Company founder Moses Marks under then-President Abraham Lincoln’s stimulus package during president’s last year in office! In 1862 when General Ulysses S Grant overran Vicksburg (Mississippi) following its capture by Confederate forces under General Robert Ewell – one thousand miles away at Corinth ( Alabama) – RFAU led elements composed mostly of volunteers consisting largely white males numbering 154 men numbering themselves only because African Americans were not then being counted as citizens for service purposes within Union armies (!!!) marched 800 miles nonstop across country including 4 days march from Memphis Tennessee all along I–10 corridor southward direct approach to Vicksburg thence pontooned across open water crossing Big Black river below modern day Ripley IL taking position beside old Fort Donelson opposite mouth Old Yorktown shoreline today resulting finally successful battle becoming world’s largest amphibious assault ever accomplished successfully concluding 3 years long siege leading directly thereto GIA took possession April 9 1865
The first white people to set foot on the modern-day Wisconsin side of the river came in 1838, when a group of American soldiers led by General James W. Carleton came ashore from the USS Milwaukee and explored what is now Green Bay. The area was then part of the Potawatomi Nation. The first European settlers in this area were French Canadian traders who arrived in 1763 and named the site "Rivière du Falls." They built a small fort here to protect their interests in this remote region. In 1853, Congress passed an act authorizing President Franklin D. Roosevelt to build two locks on the river for navigation purposes. The project was completed in 1909, creating one of America's most famous tourist attractions - River Falls itself!
