Richfield, Wisconsin is the birthplace of the modern magazine. In 1885, a man named Gustavus Adolphus Weymouth set out to create a self-contained armory and pistol teaching school in what is now Richfield. The first handguns were created fromold cannons with round cartridges that could be fired by hand. Weymouth’s innovations led to the development of today’s magazines which store rounds in cylindrical cases designed for easy reloading. The early magazines were used primarily by necessity as there was not enough room inside an armory for all of the weapons being manufactured at that time. Magazine capacity however has continually evolved over time and today most firearms have between 10 and 20 rounds stored inside of them. The Richfield gun mags were started in 1907 by Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Upson, who ran a small grocery store on S. 4th St. near the now demolished factory that made ammunition for the American Civil War. The Upson's had two pistols and three rifles, all of which they used to shoot at targets in their backyard, which led to the name "Gun Mag." In 1911, Mr. and Mrs. John Ziegler bought the store and renamed it Ziegler Gun & Ammo before moving it to its present location in 1951 on S 2nd Street just north of I-94/US 41W.
Richfield is a small town in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin. The population was 6,645 at the 2000 census and 7,822 as of 2016. It is part of the Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1837 by John Richfield and his wife Rebecca. Originally it was named after a nearby creek, but it changed its name to Richfield in 1868 because of the wealth produced by a fur trading operation run by John's father. The town became a village in 1898 and then an incorporated town in 1912. One of the first things that people did when they arrived in Richfield was build a schoolhouse. The original one was built on present day Apple Street just east of what is now Richards Avenue. It served as Richfield's primary educational institution from 1837 until 1954 when it moved to the former Racine County Courthouse on Main Street which still stands today (though it has been remodeled several times). In 1892, local farmers started raising chickens for eggs which soon became an important crop in this rural community. In 1909, two brothers named Clarence and Harry Hull started erecting what is now known as "The Chicken House" on current site of State Fair Park across from Community Market (now Food Lion). This building provided food for many families during their annual fairs until it closed down around 1980 due to increasing competition from other businesses within walking distance. Today, there are few remnants left from old days such as The Chicken House or Community Market - all that remain are some memories gleaned through stories told over time about early residents and their experiences hereabouts. One such story goes like this: Once upon a time, there were quite a few people living hereabouts – more than enough to support themselves but not too much so that they couldn't live peacefully together without worry about crime or taxes going up too high; however, one night something went wrong and all those people got into trouble because they didn't have any money with which to solve their problems! They had all grown rich overnight thanks to fur trade profits! How could they possibly pay their overdue taxes? And how would they ever know who owed them back if they didn't have any way to track these things? Well...that's exactly how things worked out for these folks – long before anyone came up with technology like GPS or social media! A lot has changed since then, but even back then there were always those who loved spending their free time outside playing checkers or taking walks around town - things haven't always been easy though... Many aspects associated with contemporary life - including online banking services available 24/7/365 etc., owning cars etc.- began operations only after significant investments were made into fiber optic cable infrastructure heretofore unavailable or unaffordable elsewhere within our region back then! Today we enjoy some truly amazing amenities just steps away from our doorstep--including world class restaurants AND movie theaters right downtown at State Fair Park--all while keeping our prices affordable!

The magazine consisted of a sheet of paper that was opened at one end and held together by a piece of wood or leather strap. Ammunition was stored inside the magazine while the firearm was being fired. In 1836, John Browning designed and built the first successful revolver using cartridges that could be reloaded multiple times. This new type of handgun allowed shooters to keep more ammo on hand so they could fire more rounds per minute than they had before. Richfield is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located on the Fox River. The population was 23,914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The name "Richfield" originated from an early settler named John Richardson and his family, who came to this region in 1837. The community of Richfield developed around a gristmill built by James Richardson in 1847. In 1857, General George Armstrong Custer spent the night at Richfeld Mill while on his way to battle with Native Americans near Waukesha County. He was subsequently buried there in unmarked graves. In 1899, industrialists Isaac Seneca and Gustavus Kapp decided to abandon their small farmstead south of Richfield for new purposes: they would build a large steel plant and create what would become one of the largest steel manufacturing cities in America. They named their new city after themselves – Seneca City (later Milwaukee). One year later, they erected a huge structure that still stands – now known as Kapp Tower – within the limits of Richfield: it became home to Wisconsin's first electric power plant and was also used for storage until 1955 when it was moved into downtownMilwaukee to become Walker Field Park Memory Museum; today’s civic center occupies much of its original site . Richfield was founded in 1854 by a group of farmers. The town became a mining and lumber center during the mid-19th century, and it gained some notoriety as the site of the 1871 Wisconsin state fair. In 1924, Richfield was named one of America's "10 Most Diverse Towns".
