When the Port Washington Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in 1903, they were the first firearms club in town. The club meetings were held at the local livery stable and everyone who wanted to attend could do so. It wasn't until 1923 that the club moved into their current building on First Street. In 1928, the club began to hold monthly meetings at a hotel in town. The next year, they switched to an open forum format which allowed for more participation from members. The club continued to meet monthly until 1957 when they disbanded due to lack of members. In 1961, the Port Washington Rifle and Pistol Club made a donation of rifles and pistols to the Wisconsin State Sheriff's Department in memory of fallen sheriff's deputies (the first such donation in town). This event is still celebrated each year on Memorial Day by hosting a special rifle match between various clubs from different parts of the state. Since its inception, the Port Washington Rifle and Pistol Club has been one ofPort Washington’s most active and important organizations!

By 1920, Port Washington had a population of over 10,000 people. At that time, it was one of the most densely populated towns in America. Today, Port Washington remains an important economic center for southern Wisconsin thanks to its location within easy reach of major metropolitan areas. There is no one definitive answer to this question, as the history of firearms t-shirts begins long before most people even remember wearing them. In fact, many different cultures have worn and enjoyed firearms since ancient times. The first known firearm shirt appeared in 1875, but it was not until the late 1800s that such a garment began to be commonly worn by enthusiasts and collectors alike. One of the earliest examples of a firearm t-shirt was created by two NRA members in 1968. The design featured an image of a riflescope atop a handguns grip with the words “The Gun That Won The War” in large type above it. At first, these shirts were only available to NRA members who could afford to purchase them at special events or through mail order. However, over time, more and more people became interested in hunting and shooting equipment; so NRA member shirts started becoming common for general circulation throughout the late 1800s and into the early 1900s. Throughout much of its history, the NRA has been fiercely protective of its membership base; so any shirt featuring images or likenesses of any kind associated with their organization would likely have been considered highly sensitive material back then. However, there are several instances where NRA member shirts were used without permission or sanction from their leadership – including when they were displayed at gun shows as part ofTestudo’s annual exhibit in 1990 (pictured right). Consequently, some believe that these designs may date back even further than earlier examples (e.g., to 1916). In recent years, there has been increasing interest among shooters and firearms enthusiasts in wearing firearms clothing on public occasions outside of organized groups likeGun Owners Of America (GOA). This trend is largely due to social media postings showing various individuals wearing brightly colored 1911 pistols across various locations around the world on various holidays/special occasions (represented here on New Year’s Eve!). Although GOA has yet to officially endorse this behavior (nor do they seem particularly interested in doing so), it does appear that widespread acceptance [of such attire] is beginning to form – with some individual shops now starting to carry both unisex and gender-neutral versions of firearm t-shirts!

Port Washington is located in the town of Port Washington, Wisconsin, on the western shore of Lake Michigan. The community was founded in 1856 by Captain John A. Matson and his family as a seasonal trading post on the eastern side of the lake. After years of growth, Matson donated land to create what is now Port Washington Village. In 1902, the village incorporated and began to develop its infrastructure such as a school, library, and fire department. The village's success helped it become an important center for trade on the Michigan–Wisconsin border. Today, Port Washington is known for its wide variety of arts and crafts along with its beautiful scenery.
Port Washington was founded in 1838 by Captain Jonathan H. Smith, a fur trader who arrived on the Great Lakes from Russia. The town grew rapidly, and in 1849 it became the county seat of Racine County. It was renamed Port Washington in 1871 after Wisconsin's first governor, David Walker. In 1907, the city purchased land adjacent to its existing downtown and began building a new district which included much of the current downtown area as well as parts of the north side of the river and parts of the south side. The original downtown district is now known as "the historial core." In 1949, Port Washington voters passed an ordinance creating a city park system that includes today's Lincoln Park and Wright Park neighborhoods. In 1958, the city dedicated Mount Pleasant Cemetery within its boundaries for local residents who were buried there before 1900.
