Pewaukee, Wisconsin is a city in the Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The first high capacity conversions were done in Pewaukee when an existing steel mill converted to manufacture electric cars by ABB Corporation in 1968. At that time, there were only a few hundred electric cars on the market and conversion would have been very expensive and time-consuming. However, conversion was successful and helped increase demand for electric cars and make them more affordable. Since then, other companies have converted mills into production plants for electric cars with similar success story such as Tesla Motors who now manufactures all its vehicles in Fremont, California. There are now over 10 million electric vehicles on the market which is equivalent to about one third of all gasoline-powered vehicles worldwide!

Pewaukee is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 7,412 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Pewaukee is located on the Fox River, just south of Milwaukee and east of Waukesha County. The Town of Pewaukee was organized in 1836 and named for George Washington Pewelee, a landowner in what is now downtown Milwaukee who donated land to create the town site. The first settler to arrive in what would become Pewaukee was John Ritchie in 1839, and by 1840 there were six families living there. By 1860, there were ninety-six residents and it had a schoolhouse and two stores. In 1871, the railroad arrived through Pewaukee with tracks running from Green Bay to Appleton; this caused an increase in population as people started moving away from rural areas for work on the new industry hub near Chicago. In 1902, fire destroyed most of downtown Milwaukee; however, because many buildings were built using brick instead of wood or metal, they were saved and used as evidence against arson cases until 1984 when building codes changed so all wooden structures must be replaced within fifty years no matter how old they are (this law still applies today). One result of this rebuild was that much newer brick buildings began to line up along State Street across from City Hall – which later became known as “Pewaukee Square” after its location within town limits only – while older brick buildings continued to lines up along Fourth Street out west into Waukesha County. Today's downtown core can be found between S Seventh Ave & Eighth Ave (just north of Parkwest Mall) on the west side and State St & National Ave on the east side; also included are several smaller businesses scattered around Center Drive/Old Main Rd between Sixth Avenue & Seventh Avenue which serve mainly as anchors for these larger blocks including City Hall (& nearby landmarks), courthouse/bank building (now AIG insurance headquarters), Pabst Brewery (& adjacent restaurant/bar), Light crude oil production plant complex (formerly Shell Oil refinery) and several other small businesses clustered around School Lake Blvd between Ninth Avenue & Tenth Avenue/. Just off School Lake Blvd is South Side HealthPlex - one stoplight away from Downtown Milwaukee - containing over 30 clinics plus outpatient surgery center., Bucks Arena stadium home arena forarena games featuring various NBA teams&WSU Panthers football game etc.; Finally off SchoolLake Blvd are several dozen homes belonging to University Partners Clinic - one stoplight away from DowntownMilwaukee - providing health care services primarily for lower income citizens living near campus
There have been many high capacity conversions in history. Other notable conversions include the conversion of an old locomotive shed into a storage depot for artillery during World War II; and the conversion of an old steel mill into a new aluminum smelter. All these conversions were made to increase production or to improve efficiency. They were all designed to allow more cars or passengers to be moved around quickly and easily.
