Neenah, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the county seat of Racine County. The population was 12,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Gibson in 1887-88 using a telescope that had been built by their father some years earlier in Albany, New York. In 1889, John Prentice Appleton founded the first optical store in America in Neenah with two floors of space inside an old millrace on North State Street. In 1903, Julius Kapp introduced an improved type of photographic film cartridge known as "Kapp's Kodak" which allowed photography without developing films or taking pictures through a camera obscura (a darkroom).
