He began construction on what would become Tilton Park which included a Temperance Hall, sawmill and grist mill. Today's park includes an outdoor rink, picnic areas, shops/restaurants, playgrounds and more Neenah was incorporated as a village in 1898 In 1907 Main Street was widened to four lanes width for better traffic flow. This project also included new streetlights which remain active today The Grosse Bohn Grocery Store closed down around 1990 but it reopened as "Plymouth Cafe" after being sold by its original operators .
