In 1901, the town became incorporated and began to build its own infrastructure such as a school and courthouse. By 1921, when it reached its peak population size of around 1,500 people,Middleton had also built a water tower and sewage system. Middleton, Wisconsin is a small town in the Driftless Valley of south-central Wisconsin. The population was 7,878 at the 2010 census. Middleton is located on the east bank of the Kishwaukee River and is bordered to the north by Menomonee Falls and to the west by Racine. According to the United States Census Bureau, Middleton has a total area of , of which is land and is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 8,364 people, 3,547 households, and 2,914 families residing in Middleton. The population density was 1,741.3 people per square mile (621.0/km²). There were 4,561 housing units at an average density of 677.8 per square mile (269.4/km²). The racial makeup of Middleton was 98% White; 1% African American; 0% Native American; 0% Asian; 0% Pacific Islander; and 1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2% of the population. There were 3,547 households out of which 362 (20%) had children underthe ageof 18 living with them, 606 (38%) were married couples living together, 9 (3%) had a female householder with no husband present, and 292 (16%) had a male householder with no wife present. None of these designs became widely accepted but they did provide some interesting early examples of how this type ofsoft gun case could be created.

Middleton, Wisconsin is a town in the Green Bay metropolitan area in the state of Wisconsin. The population was 8,827 at the 2010 census. Middleton is home to the Middleton Arsenal Ammunition Plant and part of the Milwaukee-Waukesha Metropolitan Area. Middleton was founded by Adam and Rebecca Young in 1846 on land donated by their father-in-law, John Ferguson. The town was named after Major General George Washington Middleton who fought in the American Revolution. In 1867, Midleton became attached to Green Bay as it grew larger and more populated. In 1902, Middleton separated from Green Bay to become its own municipality with a population of 10,000. In 1970, when Wisconsin merged with Michigan, Middleton became an enclave within that state's Milwaukee metropolitan area. The local economy has been based on agriculture for most of its history; however, manufacturing has also played a role in the town's history. After being destroyed by fire in 1905, wooden mills were rebuilt and began production of munitions during World War II; however they were closed following the war and replaced by aluminum plants during the late 1960s and early 1970s which led to significant job losses for locals. In recent years there have been efforts to revive manufacturing within Midleton through new initiatives such as founding an agricultural technology center which helps farmers use new technologies to improve their crops; developing creative businesses focused on arts & crafts; as well as hosting marketing trade shows throughout the year that attract manufacturers from around North America and Europe. Middleton was founded by John Middleton in 1846. The town was named for John's brother, Miles Middleton. The first post office in Middleton was established on July 1, 1847. In 1868, the town became a village and was renamed Middleton Village after its incorporation into the town of Middleton. On March 15, 1907, the towns of Green Bay and West Allis merged to form Milwaukee County. On November 3, 1945, the name of Milwaukee County was changed to Wisconsin Rapids County.
