Bullets were first invented in 1794 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. Bullet design has changed over the years, but the basic concept of a bullet remains the same. A projectile is made up of a projectile head and propellant, which causes the bullet to travel through air and into another object. Gunpowder is ignited by an ignition device such as a match, and creates an intense flame that melts the wax near the powder keg. This liquid wax is drawn up into the gun barrel, where it vaporizes and starts to break down food particles in the air (this process is called combustion). The vaporized material contains gas pockets that are filled with hot air from the burning powder. These gas pockets create heat which melts any ice on top of them, breaking it down so that water can enter and freeze solidify around it. When this happens all of those gas pockets have heated up so quickly they start to glow red hot! That’s when you know your bullet has reached its target!

The first settler to homestead here was Abram Wickersham who arrived with his family from Brooklyn, New York in 1856. He named his property "Wickerham Township", but changed it to "Mequon" after he acquired title to it from Abram Funkhouser some years later In 1872, David Lenthall purchased land northeast of present-day Mequon from Colonel George Cushing for $1 per acre Lenthall donated much of this land – including what is now Old Market Square – for use as a public square that still resides there today In 1875–76, two brothers named William Hayschandt took over management of Frisch's Mill Hill mill following their father’s death When they added a turbine engine power plant to their business they became known as “The Hawks” In 1886 they sold their holdings to Lewis camellia Farms co., Ltd which ran it until 1933 when it went into receivership . From 1915 through 1929 local grain elevator operator J G Ziegler operated an elevator next door at 455 Main Street — alsonow known as Old Market Square (). After World War II various businesses moved out or were converted into apartments/condos: First National Bank (1948), Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (1949), Sears Roebuck & Co.—the last store remaining on Main Street before its demolition (1964). Mequon is a town in Wexford County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,912 at the 2000 census. The name comes from the French word "mequon" meaning "a weasel." The first settler in Mequon was Nicholas Kappes. Mequon began as a small log cabin village on the north bank of the Menomonee River in 1847. By 1860, it had grown to include four settlements: Appleton, Bedrock, Brownstown and White Earth. In 1872, Mequon became an incorporated town with a population of 753. It remained an unincorporated community until 1953 when it became part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The Mequon-Waukesha County Agricultural Experiment Station (later called Waukesha State University) was founded in 1907 by Governor John Pecos and President Theodore Roosevelt as part of the New Deal program to promote agricultural research throughout America. The station was located on Mequon's north side between US Highway 41 and MEQ Railroad tracks at what is now known as Farmington Road. Today WSU has over 120 acres (48 hectares) of research land within its boundaries and operates more than 20 experimental farms including one devoted to corn production which has been used for GMO testing since 1988
