The first successful shotgun shooting competition was held at Quarry Hill in Mequon on November 4, 1875. At that event, thirty-six shooters from thirteen states competed. The first modern rifle shot at ranges over one hundred yards took place at Stockbridge Armory on October 7, 1895 by Colonel John Chauncey Burnham Jr.. This event marked a turning point for Rifle Shooting history as today it is considered one of America’s most popular sports! The development of shotguns led to the widespread introduction of bullets through firearms into America during the late 1800s. Ammunition manufacturers began churning out new varieties of ammunition for handguns and rifles throughout this era including copper-nickel cases which provided increased accuracy and velocity when fired from pistols (the standard cartridge size then) as well as larger rounds for rifles like Winchester Model 1886 (.30 Carbine), Remington 870 Magnum (6mm Remington), Winchester Superposed Lever Action Shotguns (12 Gauge) and Savage Arms Company Model 11 (3 gauge). By 1898 there were more than 1 million cartridges available on American market alone! It wasn’t until 1906 that Lake City Arsenal began producing case-nose projectiles called “ Elastic Bullets” which utilized a flexible silicone rubber bandaging agent to help prevent defects while traveling within firearms barrels due to extreme temperature changes. These projectiles quickly becamepioneered by hunters world wide who could now target game at distances up to 350 yards with relative ease! Unfortunately such advances also created new dangers however; lead ammunition – used primarily for hunting small game – started entering into civilian hands during this time frame with disastrous consequences. In 1907 lead poisoning rates among children living near gun factories had reached epidemic levels; by 1915 almost 50% of all schoolchildren nationwide had been infected with lead poisoning! As a result, Congress enacting legislation dubbed “The National Lead Poisoning Prevention Act” did something much needed: it outlawed manufacturing, distribution and sale of lead ammunition across America! Today lead ammo is still illegal in many US states!!! During World War II various typesof artillery shells were developed including high explosives incendiary or smokeless powder shells used against naval targets such as submarines or airfields; these munitions were devastating but extremely hazardous to handle due their destructive power & toxic fumes. During peacetime however military brass decided they no longer wanted any typeof unexploded ordnance around home so between 1945 and 1949 they ordered all Ammo Manufacturers production ceased abruptly!! Ammunition historians are quick to note that without these munitions World War II may have ended differently…or maybe not at all?

These teams are all members of the Northern League which includes over 50 member towns across 4 divisions: Midwestern Division; Central Division; North Atlantic Division; and East North Central Division All four professional sports organizations have their own stadiums/arena within or adjacent to Mequon—the Rockwell Collins Stadium Complex located on Oconomowoc Avenue just east of I-94 exit 10A, The Joe Louis Arena located on Wisconsin Avenue between State Street and Niles Road east of I-94 exit 10B, FirstEnergy Stadium which seats up to 60,000 inside or outside its "Gulfstream" concourse near Interstate 94 Exit 9A as well as additional venues such as US Cellular Field which can seat up to 75,000 indoors or outdoors and UW–Milwaukee Panther Sports Complex which can seat up to 85,000 inside or outdoors on two levels with a full range of activities available including softball & tennis courts as well as one high school football stadium that seats up to 80,000—all within walking distance from each other making it easy for residents and visitors alike to get involved in local community events without leaving their homes!

Mequon is a town in Mequon Township, Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 5,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay–West Allis metropolitan area. The first settler in what would become Mequon was Levi Morse who arrived on horseback in 1836. He and his family built a cabin on the east side of town by 1838. In 1846, John Fetterman moved from Duluth to Mequon to be near his sister-in-law's farmstead where he purchased land and began to grow corn and other crops. In 1851, Fetterman sold his land to Nathan Swayze for $3 an acre. Swayze developed the township into what it is today with three stores and forty-eight homes beforeWisconsin statehood in 1893 eliminated townships andorganized counties instead. In 1907, attorney Hiram Hennepin founded the Mutual Life Insurance Company which would remain active until its sale to American National Corporation in 1958. The town hall was completed in 1921 and served as the local library until it closed in 2002 because of budget cuts by then-Township Administrator Don Plessinger. The current building was constructed between 1984 and 1986 as part of a project funded by a donation from entrepreneur Donald Trump. The Mequon community center opened its doors on October 10th, 1984 after years of planning by members of the Town Council.
The center serves as both a public meeting place for citizens during their municipal meetings as well as an educational resource forouth students who attend school within walking distance from the center.

Mequon was founded by the Lunsford brothers in 1836. The town first grew around the railroad station, which served as the center of local trade and commerce. By the late 1800s, Mequon had become a popular agricultural center with its own market and grocery stores. In 1907, Mequon became part of Milwaukee County and experienced rapid growth in population and businesses. In 1947, Mequon became a city Limits community after incorporation by City Council members. The city enjoyed steady growth until the late 1990s when it suffered from a decline in economic activity and increased traffic congestion. In recent years,Mequon has made moves to revitalize its downtown area including acquisition of a new library, development of several new parks, and completion of several major projects such as construction of a new water line and artesian well replacement.
