Today Menomonie features a variety of businesses including a retail center containing over 100 stores and restaurants, two golf courses, several schools including Menomenee High School which offers magnet programs such as agriculture and engineering; three Veterans Affairs Hospitals; four Manufacturers' Distributorships; two public libraries; and one private library. On July 1st each year local residents set off firework displays across downtown while also having a parade down Main Street followed by a fireworks show at night near the riverfront park located just east of town limits
