The community was named after Marinette County, Michigan, which was then part of Wisconsin Territory. The first settler in Marinette was Samuel Haines and his family in 1836. A post office called Hainesville was established in 1841, and remained in operation until 1959. The town began to grow rapidly after it became a port on the Fox River for goods moving up and down the river. In 1870, there were only 164 people living in Marinette; by 1920, that number had reached 551. In 1907, a sawmill called "Milwaukee Saw Mill" started production; it continued production until 1976. In 1916, the first store opened in Marinette; it was an all-white store called "The White House". In 1954, construction began on what is now known as "Marinette Middle School", which opened in 1955. In 1969, a new high school (now known as Marinette West High School) opened; it remains one of the most popular high schools within the Milwaukee metropolitan area today. In 1984, Marinettes first casino opened its doors; it continues to operate today under different names including Midwest Casino & Resort and Seven Springs Casino Resort Incorporated). Marinettes economy depends heavily on manufacturing: most recently this has included plastics products such as car parts and window glass."

The AALD allowed for much easier operation than previous guns lights and it quickly gained favor among police forces across Europe. By 1886, all major European countries had adopted the AALD as their standard firearm lighting system. Gunlights continue to play an important role in law enforcement today and are still being used frequently in special events such as hostage situations or funerals . While they can be dangerous if not used correctly, they are also essential tools for law enforcement officials who need to ensure safety during these types of operations

Marinette, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and is the county seat of Polk County. The population was 7,541 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Fox River between Green Bay and Waukesha counties, east of Milwaukee and north of Chicago. The name means "farmstead on the river." The first permanent settler in Marinette County was James Fenton in 1839. A post office called Fenton had been established in 1836, but no residents lived there until 1840 when John Dickey moved to what is now Marinette from Racine,Wisconsin. A tavern called White's on the Fox River served as an early stop for travelers coming through this area. The first railroad station in Marinette County was located near present-day Brown Deer and became operational in 1854 with trackage extending from Milwaukee to Waukesha then to Manitowoc Junction where it connected with the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Company line en route to Stoughton, Massachusetts. In 1865, a new town named Weequahic was platted adjacent to present-day Marinette by Jno Hoadley following his purchase of land along the Fox River which he dubiously declared belonged only to Green Bay because it lay within that county's boundaries at that time
Marinette, Wisconsin was incorporated on November 3, 1852. The first settler in Marinette County was John Fetterman. The county seat was Waukesha until 1857 when it moved to Marinette.
