In 1957, Exley Arms merged with American Ammunition to form American Armory Incorporated.
Marinette, Wisconsin is a town located in the eastern portion of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 9,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee-Waukesha metropolitan area and is included in the Chicago-Naperville-Joliet Combined Statistical Area. The name "Marinette" comes from French for "Island in Lake Michigan". The first settler to arrive in what is now Marinette County was George Rogers Clark on July 4, 1836. He named his new land "Clark's Island" after General Washington Clark who had helped lead American forces during the Battle of Bunker Hill. The town was established as a village on October 10, 1857 by order of Governor John Pecora and incorporation took place on November 2, 1857. In 1907 it became a city and has since grown to be one of the most populous towns in Wisconsin with over 11,000 residents as of 2010. In addition to its economic impact on surrounding communities, Marinette also boasts some beautiful nature reserves that are home to many bird species including Bald Eagle, White Swan, Canada Goose and Teal Duck. Visitors can enjoy fishing opportunities along local streams as well as hiking and biking trails throughout much of its boundaries which offer views into rolling hills covered with forests and wetlands habitat unique to Marinette County alone

In 1871, the U.S. Patent No. 5,886,618 was filed for a cartridge that could be fired from a revolver with an ammunition magazine in the handle. The patent would later be modified to include a cartridge that could be fired from a rifle with an ammunition magazine in the handle. In 1892, Winchester Arms Company patented their own design for a shotgun cartridges using an ammunition magazine in the stock which allowed the rounds to be shot multiple times without having to reload
Marinette is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located along the Fox River. The population was 5,693 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area and is considered to be one of the most ethnically diverse towns in America. The name "Marinette" was given to it by French settlers in 1834 as a place where they could found fruit trees and grow potatoes. The town was first settled by German farmers in 1836-37, after they left their farmstead near Wauwatosa for what is now Marinette County. The first post office was established in 1840, and during its early years, it served only residents of Marinette Township. In 1876, when Milwaukee County formed, Marinette became one of its original municipalities within that county. In 1902, when Wisconsin absorbed all of Minnesota's northern counties into its borders, Marinette became a part of Milwaukee County too - thus joining fellow Milwaukee neighborhoods such as Waukesha and Brookfield in being within city limits for just about everyone except those living on rural property outside city limits (and even then there were some exceptions). Today's economy is heavily based on manufacturing; with many heavy industries including automotive parts manufacturing plants (Marinette has had more than one automaker), paper products production (Marinette owns or operates two paper mills), medical equipment manufacturing (Marinette’s largest producer), distribution (the town has two large employers: Walmart Supercenter and Target) as well as restaurants and small businesses that service suburban areas aroundMilwaukee proper.
