This kit became known as the Kappus Gun Cleaning Kit. During World War II over one million barrels of oil were spilled into Lake Michigan from destroyers carrying gunship rounds; this caused extensive damage to shoreline property including gardens near Green Bay that still bear fruit trees that were grown close to where oil had seeped into the water; some houses along separate beaches still stand today because their owners marked all their windows with green paint so that if shells exploded within range they would know where they lived!

The first written reference to Madison comes from a map published in 1814 by Pierre Dorion which depicted a village called "Maddison." In 1836, Washington Territory was organized and included part of present-day Wisconsin; Maddison became part of this new territory. In 1851, when Iowa Territory was formed, Maddison became part of this new territory as well. On February 14, 1856 – two days after Iowa's admission into the Union – Madison received its charter as a town from governor Julius Crolly. The town had a population of only 20 residents! In 1861, during Lincoln's second term as president, he issued Executive Order No. 1065 which ordered all federal lands east of the Mississippi River be sold to private citizens for homesteading purposes; these lands would later form what is now known as Illinois Prairie National Forest and are some of the most heavily wooded areas on Earth! This order led to much excitement within Madison because many people saw this opportunity to settle near potential farmland that could be used for growing crops or housing! This land would eventually become known as Maple Bluff Township! On November 3rd 1865 – Thanksgiving day – Abraham Lincoln was assassinated at Ford’s Theater in Washington D.C.; four days later on Saturday November 9th 1865 (the Thursday before Christmas) President Andrew Johnson signed Executive Order No. 1138 which revoked Executive Order No. 1065! This order stated that all federal lands east of the Mississippi River must now be leased back to private citizens for farming purposes instead! This allowed more settlers to move into what is now called downtownMadison! During World War II (1939-1945), large quantities (upwardsof 50 million pounds)of uranium ore were mined at Oak Ridge National Laboratory near Knoxville IN., leading directly to Hiroshima atomic bombing
The first European settlers in what is now Madison, Wisconsin arrived in 1772. The area that is now Madison was part of the Town of Waukesha, which was organized on February 15, 1772. The town name was changed to Madison on October 10, 1836.
