The Kenosha Rifle Association was formed in 1903. The first rifle, a Model 1871, was sold to George L. Wimmer on July 2nd of that year. In 1906 the organization moved to its current location at 7 E. Green Bay Street and changed its name to the Kenosha Rifle and Pistol Club. In 1911, the club purchased a shotgun from John Averett and placed it into service as their first target gun. The NRA also began using Meet-the-Gunners events to introduce new members to shooting sports.
Kenosha, Wisconsin is a town located in the extreme northwest corner of Wisconsin. As of the 2010 census, the population was 83,402. The Kenosha metropolitan area has a population of over 150,000 people. It is one of the most diverse areas in the Midwest and one of America's fastest-growing suburbs. The cityscape is characterized by long straight streets with wide avenues and tall buildings; an agricultural landscape dominated by corn fields and soybean farms; and rolling hills that make for beautiful viewings from downtown. The first settler in what would become Kenosha was Isaac LaFayette who arrived in 1845 on a wagon train from Illinois. He built his home on present day First Avenue between State Road 22 and 24. A post office called LaFayette was established in 1851, but it was discontinued in 1865 because there were no mail privileges given to towns within ten miles of Milwaukee. In 1872, John Crain opened a lumberyard on present day Main Street which became an important commercial center for the region. By 1890, when railroad construction began through this area, businesses had grown so large that two new post offices were constructed: North Kenosha (1893) and South Kenosha (1901). during World War II many residents worked at Northwestern Electric Company’s aluminum smelting plant at Menomonee Falls until its closure in 1945 due to wartime production restrictions

Kenosha, Wisconsin is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2010 census, the population was 21,965. The name of the town comes from the word "kensa" meaning a small piece of land between two rivers and "oshawa" meaning a stream or river. The first settlers in what is now Kenosha arrived in 1854 and named it after their home county, Ontario, Canada. The town's first post office was established in 1855 and its first store opened in 1857. In 1860, industrialists James Prentice and George Stephenson donated land to build the Northwestern Electric Light Company's factory on what is now Milwaukee Avenue. The company built a large plant that produced electric lights for homes and businesses throughout Milwaukee County until it merged with General Electric in 1931. During World War II, Kenosha served as an important manufacturing center for munitions production due to its location at the junction of two major highways - I-94 and US-41 - both serving military bases within driving distance of the city limits. In 1945, Kenosha became one of only six towns across America to be designatedBirmingham Township when that township was created from parts of four other townships: Appleton (1893), De Pere (1909), Wauwatosa (1921) and Racine (1927). The designation reflected Birmingham's role as an economic powerhouse during wartime as well as its status as one of Wisconsin's largest cities with over 120,000 residents at its peak prior to World War II. Over time, however, many aspects of life in Kenoah have changed; most notably declining birth rates which has led to dwindling populations over time even while housing prices have risen markedly around towncenter areas such as downtown Kenosha and north side neighborhoods like Midtown Westward Bobsled Park/Downtown/University District/. However despite these changes little progress has been made towards reversing or reversing these trends especially given that majority white majorities still control all political positions relative to non-white minorities including African Americans who make up 11%of total population according to 2000 Census data
