Janesville, Wisconsin is a small town of approximately 30,000 people located in the eastern part of the state of Wisconsin. The population was 46,681 as of the 2010 census. It is one of two communities in Janesville that are both located within Milwaukee County. The other community is Green Bay. The first shootings in Janesville happened on October 10th, 1892 when three men were shot and killed by John J. Norris at his grocery store on Washington Avenue. Norris committed suicide after the shooting and it remain unsolved to this day. On December 8th, 1907, five shots were fired into a building at 714 S Seventh Street by Charles Hahneman who had just finished work at the bakery next door and thought he had heard someone coming out. One bullet hit an employee on the head and killed him instantly; four others grazing damage from fire shot injuries before they got away safely or were evacuated using a streetcar which arrived minutes later with help from police officers arriving on horseback (the last time gunfire was reported in Janesville). In 1908-09 there was another spate of shootings Downtown where six people were killed including two janitors working for J&H Linseed Company which stood for Johnson & Hahneman Co., makers of Wheaties cereal products (now Kellogg). Two years later on January 26th 1911 nine bullets were fired into Building 3A at 625 N First Street by Julius Krug who worked for Wernicke's department store chain and believed he had seen someone coming out from behind locked doors (he did not shoot anyone). A new school building was erected on Second Avenue east of Main Street in 1846-47; this structure still stands today as part of Park Ridge Elementary School District No. 2 (K-12). In 1862, residents near where North High School now stands petitioned for annexation into Janesville from Milwaukee Township because they felt their taxes were too high and wanted more education opportunities for their children within reach rather than being forced to send them away to wealthier communities like Wauwatosa or Brookfield. On November 8, 1862, an ordinancewas passed by Janesville voters condemning annexation into Milwaukee Township without a vote by those living within it – an event that has been cited as one reason why many small towns throughout Wisconsin have resisted attempts by larger municipalities to annex them since then. After years of struggles betweenMilwaukee City Hall and some local farmers over control over land used for farming purposes such as dairy farms and mill sites, municipal boundaries were set approximately east of what is now Oak Creek Boulevard/Upper Canada Road while rural areas continued to be drawn further away from urban centers on both sides of Lake Michigan until well into the 20th century when suburban growth began encroaching upon these rural areas once again resulting in mergers among various jurisdictions including his former home municipality Ofallon Heights annexed via a referendum onto Racine County government following suit across town annexation campaigns waged by neighboring municipalities beginning around 1970s culminating with full consolidation into Racine County starting with the merger effort spearheaded by current Mayor Don Schumacher Since becoming fully consolidated under one government structure effective July 1st 1999 with representation from all five cities plus adjoining villages within our county our approach has been "One Community at One click" each community members are able to access necessary government services through their individual web browser window no longer do we need separate email addresses or street numbers
