The Greendale Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1892. The club has been meeting monthly ever since. In 1924, the club voted to adopt a “shooter” eye protection policy that required all members to wear shooting glasses at all times while shooting. The surrounding countryside has become known for its many agricultural products such as apples, cornellias, potatoes, soybeans, eggs and other dairy products; oilseed crops; local cheese production; and cranberry sauce production from hogsheads brought into town for processing

Greendale, Wisconsin was founded in 1847 by the brothers John and Augustus Greendale. The village grew rapidly after it was established and by 1861 had a population of sixty-two people. In 1865, Greendale became the first town in Green Bay County when it was organized from portions of Jackson and Portage counties. The population at its peak reached one thousand people in 1907. The Greendale post office closed on May 12, 1957, due to low mail volume. However, the town kept its name until 1969 when it changed to Sheboygan. In that year, the town merged with the neighboring city of Sheboygan to form what is now known as Sheboygan/Greendale City.
Greendale, Wisconsin was founded in 1854 by John F. Greendale and his wife Esther. The town was named after Greendale, a small village in Sussex County, England. In 1870, the Greendale Railroad was chartered and began passenger service between Greendale and Marshfield. The railroad was decommissioned in 1971, but its tracks remain extant as part of the Milwaukee-Milwaukee Railway.
