In 1903, Greendale became one of the towns to pass an ordinance outlawing any type of fireworks use within its boundaries. This prohibition lasted until 1969 when it was repealed by then-Mayor Harry Cargill due to complaints from neighbors about fireworks displays during holiday celebrations. Beginning in 1907, Greendale began manufacturing its own handguns using what is now called “Patriots” ammunition. The pistols were manufactured using 5-inch barrel rifled barrels with cutters on both ends that allowed for accuracy and guarantee chambering every time rounds were fired into a target at 100 yards or more (the current barrel length for handguns). These pistols were used by police officers and other law enforcement officials as well as private citizens throughout Milwaukee County until they were replaced by modern firearms beginning in 1968 Due to their effectiveness at long ranges, these pistols remain popular today among shootists across America!

Greendale is a town in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 9,651 at the 2010 census. Greendale is part of the Racine-West Allis-Beloit Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to visit what is now Greendale was Jean Nicolet in 1636. He named it for his farm near present-day Greenfield. The first permanent settler in Greendale was David Knoppers on July 1, 1827. German immigrants also came to Greendale during this time and established a tavern called the Golden Hill Tavern which still stands today on First Street east of River Road. In 1852, John Hays became the first postmaster in Greendale and served until 1861 when he took office as postmaster of Racine. In 1865, Wm Burch became postmaster and served until his death in 1903. Frank Crain succeeded him as postmaster and held that position until his retirement on August 15, 1928; then Wm Marriott took over as Postmaster until his death on November 3, 1951. Wm Marriott's widow continued to serve as interim postmistress for many years after her husband's death until she retired from service on December 31st, 1984 effective immediately due to ill health most notably from multiple sclerosis; thereafter Patsy Marriott assumed responsibility for day-to-day operations of the office Always Forward through 1993 when Patsy's son Don assumed command following her retirement effective January 26th 1994 The town seat has been located at Beloit since May 12th 1889 when Reuben Sieving donated land north of Main Street (later renamed Clinton Boulevard) which made Greendale an incorporated town with its own government separate from Racine proper only within its own boundaries On October 10th 1896 James A.. Brown organized a company to build a railway line between Neenah and Racine via Beloit construction began soon afterwards with major completion taking place by 1898 The railroad reached Greendale late that year making it one stop short of Racine making it possible for local farmers to market their goods directly to residents instead of having them transported overland

Greendale is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,493 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha metropolitan area. The town was platted in 1849 and named for General John Greendale, who fought in the American Revolution and then served as a brigadier general in the War of 1812. The first post office opened in Greendale on December 12, 1851. The community developed around a Public School (now Greendale Middle School) which was founded in 1855 by Mrs. A.H. Haggerty and operated until it merged with the nearby school district on February 14, 1954. In 1865, William Gossage built a gristmill which continues to produce flour and other products today. In 1902, there were two small schools within Greendale; one for children between 5 and 8 years old and another for adults from 9 to 13 years old. In 1924-1925 an addition to Greendale High School (then called "Greene") housed three classrooms plus a gymnasium that could seat up to 350 students! At that time Greendale had its own library!). In 1954-1955 when Greendale Elementary merged with neighboring Bigelow Township's school district, all residents were automatically transferred into Bigelow Township so that their children would have been integrated into the larger school system - something many people still remember to this day! In 1957-1958 when Green Bay absorbed Racine County,[2] much of what now makes up Greendale including most of its east side went too! However some homes did remain within GreelandVillage boundaries until 1961 when they became part of Wanaminga Township proper! Thereafter even though much of what made up Green Bay may have changed over time we continue to call ourselves “Greeland” because our founders chose it as their hometown!
Greendale is a town in the town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 7,566 at the 2010 census. The Greendale-Niles School District serves portions of the town. The first settlement in what is now Greendale was established on July 4, 1836 by John Prentice and his family as a gift to the Town of Niles from Amos Davenport. The village developed around an agricultural society which produced corn, wheat, potatoes, beef and pork products. A post office operated in Greendale from 1837 to 1851; it was renamed Niles in 1850. During the American Civil War (1861-1865), Greendale served as a military garrison for Union General Nathan Bedford Forrest's forces at Fort Prospect along with other towns within rifle range of New Chicago on Lake Michigan. When Milwaukee County was formed in November 1871, Greendale became one of its six civil townships. When Milwaukee County annexed Racine on January 1st, 1907, Greendale became part of that city's new government and remained so until its annexation into Racine on January 1st 1959. The original name for this township before it became Racine was "Pleasant Prairie". According to the 2000 census there were 6,811 people living ingreendale when it included Racine; however according to the 2010 census there are 7,566 people living in Greendale including Racine
