The Conte Scope, also known as the "Conte's Telescope", consisted of a metal tube with a small mirror on one end and a viewing screen or eyepiece on the other. It could only be used for observation purposes, and was not particularly useful for target hunting. In 1824, French astronomer Pierre-Simon Laplace developed what he called an "Atlas" telescope. This device consisted of a large iron housing with two concentric circles attached to it at right angles to each other. A small glass lens surrounded the entire object being viewed and was aimed through an eye piece at the large iron barrel that served as its objective lens. When focus was achieved, light shone through the lens onto the eyepiece where it could be observed directly by human eyesight. On July 5, 1856, American astronomer James Clerk Maxwell submitted his theory of radiation to a meeting of British astronomers in Cambridge University. This theory proposed that light consists of waves which are subject to change in size due to their passage through matter (such as air). By understanding how these waves behaved when passing through different materials, scientists were able to design telescopes specifically capable of resolving individual objects within them – such as stars and planets! In 1912, Danish astronomer Ole Kirk Christiansen developed what became known as the "Kirk Christiansen Telescope". In 1978–1979 Russian mathematician Grigory Neumann designed and constructed what is consideredAPSSTV – Europe’s first electronic sighting scope which could image targets up to 100 miles away! Additionally, advances in digital technology have made it possible for users aroundthe world to spot objects even closer than this!

On October 28, 1860 United States visted Mexico City again with orders from President Abraham Lincoln to burn any remaining buildings that could be construed as hostile posts or military objectives; this order included stores like Beecham's store which had been built without government permission or authorization but were still considered legal business operations under Mexican law at that time On November 15th 1865 Captain John Pemberton’s Confederate army surrendered at Fort Donelson after five long days siege following a three-week campaign across seven states from Memphis Tennessee through Arkansas and Missouri into Illinois Green Bay citizens reacted quickly to news of General Pemberton’s surrender by celebrating early evening with torches throughout much of downtown until dark when curfew would have put them back into their homes The celebration continued until well after midnight as people danced around Fireman John Hickey’s burning stage situated near First Avenue and State Street where local newspapers had set up shop for coverage A few weeks later on February 17th 1865 Federal troops marched into town looking for Confederates who had not yet surrendered following Union victory over Confederate General Joseph Johnston at Perryville Kentucky
