Bipedalism, or the walking of two legs, has been present on Earth for over 100 million years. The first evidence of bipedalism in Green Bay is from Paleolithic times when there were humans who walked on two feet. From then until the beginning of the 20th century, no other human species walked on two legs. However, during the 20th century, humans began to walk on four legs and this change in behavior caused a change in bipedalism in Green Bay as well. In 1865, Knox noted that while he could not identify any direct evidence of bipedalism among his ancient Indian artifacts, he was able to tell that they had walked on two feet. This observation by Knox marked the beginning of modern day understanding of human behavior and helped define what it means to be a human being. In 1876, Drs. John Lubbock and George Asa Gray discovered man’s third leg statue at Waco Texas which represented the first definitive example of an extinct human species walking upright with both front paws raised above their heads (Gray 1908). After further research by these scientists, it was determined that this statue was not actually a representation of an extinct human species but rather belonged to an animal known as a bear (Lubbock 1918). This discovery changed everything because now it was finally possible to understand how humans have evolved from our ape-like ancestors and became what we are today–walkers with both our hands and one foot elevated above our heads! The difference between man at this point in history and man today is significant. At this point in time there were only three types of animals on Earth: apes/hominids (the type that Walked On Two Legs), bears/ Ursus arctos horribilis (the type that Walked On Four Legs), and Man himself (the type that Walked On Two Toes)! It was only after humanity developed technology such as horses and cars that humans began to move about independently on four legs! While bipedals still play an important role Today in society by providing us with unique abilities such as balance & dexterity, we should never forget how far we have come since 1865 when Knox first documented man’s ability to walk quadrupedally!

Green Bay, Wisconsin is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the county seat of Brown County. The population was $85 million as of 2010, making it the fifth-largest municipality in Wisconsin. It is located on the Fox River between Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, across from Green Bay National Park. The first Europeans to visit what is now Green Bay were French traders in 1642–43. Jesuit missionaries had begun missionary work in the area by 1701, when Father Jacques Marquette traveled through it on his way to meet Lake Michigan natives near Chicago. By 1834, all but one of Green Bay's five wards—the eastern ward which included Milwaukee—were part of Racine County. In 1836, Green Bay became an incorporated village under legislation approved by the United States Congress; Racine had not done so until after its own incorporation into Wisconsin as a separate county that year. Wisconsin's natural resources played a significant role in shaping Green Bay's development: lumbering was an early industry and two rivers—the Fox and Menomonee—made it possible for goods to be transported great distances easily without having to go downriver or overland through hostile Indian territory. The Village Board Act (1879) granted voting rights to women who had resided there for at least one year before becoming citizens; this led to many female entrepreneurs starting businesses such as laundry machines and grocery stores while men continued working in local mills that produced flour, cottonseed oil and other products needed for manufacturing towns like Milwaukee and Scranton (now Wilkes-Barre). shipbuilding also became important due to Lake Superior shipping traffic from Superior ports like Duluth, Minnesota; Manitowoc; Racine;and Kewaunee on the Fox River tributary flowing into Superior; these ships hauled produce back and forth between cities along the riverbanks until about 1920 when steamships took over much of this freight service

Green Bay was founded in 1851 by John J. Hill and two friends, Peter Rohrer and George Stephenson. The town was named for General Winfield Scott, who had fought in the Mexican-American War. Over the years, Green Bay has grown to be one of the most populous cities in Wisconsin and home to many important cultural institutions, including the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
