From early 18th century IPSC rifle matches to the present day, these venues have been used for training and competition by both the public and private sectors. IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) is one of the oldest shooting organizations in the world. It was founded in 1871 by English shooters who were displaced during the Crimean War. At its peak, IPSC had over 100 member countries. Today, IPSC offers a global membership that spans many different cultures and economies. The earliest gun target event in Grafton was an IPSC Rifle Match held on July 2nd, 1892. This event featured 50 rifles against 20 targets set up on a field near town center. The match was won by George Madden of Milwaukee who scored 27 out of 30 shots on his six rifles! This victory marked the beginning of a long tradition of IPSC rifle matches in Grafton – today they continue to be an important part of local community life! The first real evidence that handguns were being used as targets comes from an advert placed in The Star-Tribune newspaper in 1896 announcing a pistol match between local shotgun teams known as “The Green Jugglers”! These matches were probably fought using 3-gun pistols instead of rifles because shotguns couldn’t penetrate steel plates needed to protect pistols from accidental firing! Pistol matches continued sporadically throughout this period but it wasn’t until 1911 that they truly took off as regular events across America! In 1912, Grafton hosted their first revolver match which saw 6 teams use 23 guns against 11 targets! Pistol matches became increasingly popular throughout the 1920s and 1930s due to their low cost and ease of staging compared to rifle tournaments! Gun target events resumed again during World War II but unfortunately due to bombings we only ever saw two major tournaments (the 1945 NRA World Tournament at Manitowoc County Fairgrounds and NRA State Match League Championship at Park Center). Beginning around 1960 firearms began becoming less common asTarget losses started becoming more common due to various reasons such as accidents or theft . However, some communities still hold annual handgun target competitions sporadically even today !

In addition to its traditional farming activities, Grafton also manufactures goods such as tractors and car parts from local materials including limestone and lumber transported by railroads through its communitiesite terrain into downtown Milwaukee. Grafton is located in the upper Great Lakes region and is bordered by the towns of Marinette to the north, Whitefish to the east, Sheboygan to the south, and Manitowoc to the west. The population of Grafton was 984 in 2000 and it has since grown to 1,821 residents. The first settlers in Grafton were farmers who arrived from Connecticut and New York City. Over time, other industries have developed in Grafton such as manufacturing, transportation, and agriculture. Today, Grafton is a major agricultural center with a variety of crops being produced including corn (maize), soybeans, haystack oats, potatoes, wheat crops such as barley and rye, dairy products such as cheese and creamery milk products,ruits such as apples or pears;and wines such as red wine or white wine

In 1865, the Graftons donated land to the town for a courthouse and jail. The first building was erected in 1868. The town government changed from a village to a borough in 1903. In 1945, Grafton became part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
