They were first introduced into the area in the 1870s, and there are now more than a dozen different BB gun companies operating in the town. The earliest known BB guns were made in 1875 by George Hennepin of Minneapolis. These devices fired lead balls with a rubber or cloth “bullet” that was inserted into the barrel of an early revolver. The Hennepin BB gun is still used today as an antique firearm. In 1892, Frank Wesson Company began producing firearms using .380 caliber rounds for use with pistols and revolvers. This company soon became well-known for its production of high-quality handguns and rifles. The company also produced shotguns, including both single-shot pistols and repeaters; these firearms remained popular until the late 20th century. In 1934, John Browning Company entered the BB gun market with their Model 10B rifle using .22 LR rounds. This rifle quickly became popular due to its reliable performance and easy handling. It is still being produced today by various manufacturers utilizing this ammunition type. Franklin has been home to several BBgun companies over the years, each with their own unique products andhistory: In 1932, two local entrepreneurs founded Tomahawk Firearms Manufacturing Company Ltd., which manufactured replicas of early Gatling Gun pistols (and other muzzleloading weapons). The company continued to produce weapons until 1984 when it merged with another local firm, Colt Firearms Corporation of America Inc., forming Colt Arms Incorporated (the current name). In 1951, Arrow Guns Manufacturing Co., Ltd., which manufactured replica revolvers based on designs from English arms manufacturer Fairbairn & Sons Limited (later Harrington & Richardson) was founded in Franklin by Bob Harper Sr.; it continued to operate until 1984 when it merged with American armaments corporation Remington Rand Corp.. In 1955 Benelli Arms Incorporated established themselves as a producer of high-quality replica 1911 handguns; they continue to make weapons under this name currently! Franklin, Wisconsin is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest municipality in Dane County and the second-smallest municipality in Wisconsin after Rhinelander. The name "Franklin" may be derived from French "Frantz", meaning "happy". Franklin was platted in 1836 by Nicholas Goodrich and Solomon Ryan as part of a larger land grant to David Whitcomb and others. The Town of Franklin was organized on February 10, 1840, by order of the State Legislature under the terms of an act entitled "An Act to organize certain townships in this state." At its incorporation, Franklins voted to adopt a United States Constitution as their own document, which they did not do until November 8, 1847 when they ratified it with a vote of 7–2. In 1848 local residents also voted to become members of the Republican Party and chose Jens Ludwig as their first presidential candidate; he lost that year's election to Andrew Johnson. In 1862 Franklin became one of only three municipalities in Dane County with voting rights when it joined with neighboring Pleasant Prairie (now Waukesha) to form Racine County. That year's county fairgrounds were located just east of downtown Franklin; today those grounds are served by Racine Park west of town center. Annexation into Milwaukee County followed suit in 1898 but reverted back to Franklin afterward before finally becoming incorporated into Milwaukee on April 14, 1907. On July 1, 1990 Franklin became one hundredth anniversary edition recipient for being one day late joining what would become Milwaukee County; however due to population growth over time it has since rejoined Milwaukee proper on July 1st each year (except for brief periods during major holidays). Today there are fewer than 2200 people living within walking distance or driving distance outside town limits which includes much rural areas surrounding Franklin including Boggs National Wildlife Refuge northeast of town along Interstate 94/Upper Big Branch Road and parts of Greendale Township including Old Chilton where settlers began building homes around 1800 near what is now known as West Allis Center football stadium housing TD Ameritrade headquarters today among other agricultural properties off I-94 between Green Bay and Burlington

Franklin, Wisconsin is a town in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,831 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Sheboygan County. The first settler in Franklin was John Fonda and his family who arrived on October 10, 1848. The town was platted on December 15, 1851 by James Ladd and Denton Sargent. A post office called Franklin was established in 1857, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. The city of Milwaukee began to grow rapidly after the construction of the Milwaukee Road in1863; so much so that by 1865, Franklin had only 5 residents compared to the 50 residents who lived in Milwaukee proper at that time. In 1870, when Milwaukee annexed Franklin as part of its city limits, there were only 24 residents living within its limits compared to over 100 residents living within the boundaries of what would become Milwaukee by 1900. In 1905, when she became a state capital following passage of Act 59 of that year which consolidated all government functions under one roof for the first time since Winnebago County was organized two years earlier (see Wisconsin State Legislature history), Madison selected Sheboygan Falls as their new capitol with 3rd District Representative Jepson Wellman serving as its first mayor Sheboygan Falls experienced some modest growth during World War II due to military industries such as shipbuilding located nearby but this declined after 1945 because most manufacturing moved away from rural areas towards bigger cities such as Chicago or Detroit during that time period In spite of declines throughout much OFWIA's history there has been steady encroachment onto agricultural land near town center which has led to several water shortages over recent decades
