However, shotguns continued to be used for hunting and self-defense until about 1910 when handguns became more popular in America. In 1912, Congress passed the National Firearms Act which made it illegal to possess any firearm that could be shot automatically or manually with a round magazine capable of holding more than six rounds per clip. This law caused many gunowners in America to sell their firearms and convert them into revolvers or semi-automatic pistols. Many people who had own shotguns before 1912 decided not to sell them because they could not possess any weapons that were now considered prohibited under federal law. Because shotguns were still being used for hunting purposes at this time, some Shotgun Protection Association (SPA) members decided to start manufacturing Shotgun Ammunition specifically designed for use with shotguns as well as rifles. The SPA was formed in 1914 after a series of accidents involving individuals using shotgun ammunition that resulted in injuries or death. The goals of the SPA are twofold: To provide shooters with safe and efficient shooting projectiles while also studying new technology and safest methods for reloadingShotguns ammunition; To promote responsible use of firearms by both experienced owners and beginners

Fitchburg is a town in Green Bay County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 10,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee–Waukesha Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Fitchburg were French explorers in 1642 and 1643. A trading post was established here by Pierre Marquette in 1779. In 1820, Fitchburg became a town when its townsite was acquired from the village of Waukegan by the Township of Fitchburg. The first mayor was Elijah Bloodgood. FITCHBURG ORIGINS In 1642 and 1643 French explorers Pierre Marquette and René Jolliet explored what is now Green Bay and found it uninhabited. They named their map of this area "Champion's Map" after Samuel Champion who had discovered land here in 1638 on his voyage with Robert settlers from England under Captain John Smith. On Saturday, October 12th 1820, Elijah Bloodgood became the first Mayor of Fitchburg when he was elected as one of four men to serve as Selectmen for township government over all other residents living within its borders- an office which he held until 1840 when it passed into state control followingWisconsin’s admission into the Union as a United States Territory on November 14th through legislation by then Governor Andrew Johnson On January 1st 1861 Fitchburg incorporated as a city under Act No 61 of 1861 with 27 voting members including six men appointed by Governor Johnson himself! With this incorporation came new responsibilities such as sidewalks and streets being built downtown; also sewer systems were installed; fire insurance began providing services to citizens; water supplies were put in place for streetlights; etc., thus starting off what would become an important era for both city government & business growth! Fort Atkinson property located east of town line then just south of present day North High School still remains today (2011) unoccupied & currently used for agricultural purposes only ! Today’s downtown blocks 3rd Ave EAST from GRAHAM StREET NW are home to many businesses that have proliferated during these past few decades including several banks making up Blocks 2nd Ave NE from Hubbard St & 2ND Ave W from Superior St! This area has seen some great development throughout our history including portions now known as West Side Park which backs onto North High School fields limitsng present day Elmira Rd between Irvington Rd & Saginaw Rd

Fitchburg is a small town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located on the east side of the Fox River. The population was 1,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Three Rivers area and has been a political center for many years. The town was founded by John Fitch in 1836 as a small community on what is now State Highway 14 near present-day downtown Fitchburg. In 1841, he sold his share of the town to David Hubbard and others and it became a private settlement until it became part of Milwaukee County in 1851. The first post office was established in 1842, and it remained open until 1865 when it was discontinued due to lack of mail service. The first school in Fitchburg opened in 1843 and continued operation until 1870; during that time, there were only two schools in Fitchburg. The first high school opened in 1907, and it continues operation today as Fitchburg High School. In 1850, Milwaukee County absorbed all of then-Wisconsin Territory into the United States; as a result, Fitchburg became one of its few towns within this new county intact from before its creation through annexation into Milwaukee County proper over time. As such, although its residents had always voted with their feet (and sometimes even left), they were never really considered part of Milwaukee County itself – they largely just lived within city limits or within easy commuting distance to work with what they saw as superior medical care available outside their home town thanks to larger cities like Chicago or Milwaukee themselves – but nonetheless still felt deeply connected to their county’s institutions and events both inside and outside their own borders In 1906–07 when voters decided to annex adjacent parts of Waukesha County rather than let this independent township merge into neighboring Milwaukee because thereof would have created an overwhelming concentrations for blacks (who already constituted about 25%+ percentiles for voting strength among whites living within large municipalities) along with increased congestion which would have ensued given all those people moving southward from downtown Chicago who also wanted an opportunity to buy property hereabouts – well sorta sorta not really happening since most everyone who wanted land north/east/west/southwest etc., got lots anyway because Winnipeg annexed that big too so darn fast LOL! So anyways folks kinda stopped talking about things back then 🙂 But we all know how that ended 😉
Fitchburg, Wisconsin is a town in Douglas County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,834 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wausau metropolitan area. The first settler in Fitchburg was Caleb Forester on November 5, 1836. The town name means "Forty-five Acres" and was given to the community by General David Dixon after he took possession of the land around Fitchburg from the Winnebago Nation. Fitchburg was platted in 1852 by James Purdy and named for George Washington Fitch, an outstanding officer in the American Revolution who also served as a delegate to Congress from Pennsylvania. In 1857, Fitchburg became one of seven towns located along what is now I-94 between Milwaukee and Chicago. In 1862, when Lincoln proposed new rules for slavery in the Union which would make it more difficult for slaveowners to keep their slaves working long hours without being paid wages or benefits, many residents of Natchez County desired to secede from Missouri because they felt that slavery violated their religious beliefs. However, since Illinois had already become a free state and slavery continued to be legal there under Missouri law (and not under Lincoln's new rules), most Fitchburg residents chose to stay with Missouri. In 1865 when Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and Vice President Andrew Johnson assumed control over America's government, many people believed that Johnson would try to end Reconstruction by returning all Confederate soldiers and civilians back into slavery – an idea championed by some white supremacists across America because it would've ended black education opportunities and integration within white society throughout America as a whole (though no such plans were ever implemented). However Johnson instead decided not to pursue any such policies towards Reconstruction despite significant opposition from some sections of his own party including Northern Republicans who saw this as another example of Southernoyism – although he did issue Executive Order 10 desk jobs open to blacks only due largelyto public outcry against Reconstruction efforts). In 1870–71 John Hargrave built a flour mill on White River Boulevard in present-day Fitchburg which later became known as Hargrave`s Mills USA Incorporated;Hargrave`s MillsUSA has been operating continuously since 1870.. In 1969 it merged with another flour mill called First National Flour Mill Company Limited.“Fritchesburg— Pioneer Years” however its building still stands today.
