Cudahy, Wisconsin is a town in the town of West Bend in Dodge County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,773 at the 2010 census. The first post office in Cudahy was established in 1858. The town was named for John Cudahy, an early settler. In 1886, the village of Cudahy merged with the neighboring towns of West Bend and Maple Grove to form the new city of West Bend. In 1907, the city became a county municipality. The last post office closed in 1967.

In 1912, Wm Dickey bought the mill and started to run it as a flour mill with some other improvements such as an oven and gasoline engine for drying goods. In 1916, he became president of the company and changed the name to Cudahy Flour Mill Company Incorporated. After World War II ended, production increased because of new technology like automated grinding mills and artificial intelligence that helped improve quality control processes at mills like Cudahy Flour Mill Company Incorporated. In 1951, John Rieger came into ownership of the mill after purchasing it from Wm Dickey’s son-in-law Tom Pohlmeyer Jr.. He changed its name back to Cudahy Mills Limited Partnership in 1957 before selling it in 1984 to current owner Sherwood Industries Incorporated (SII). SII continues operations today as a family-owned business with over 100 employees manufacturing flour products including all-purpose flour, baking powder, cornstarch/flour mixers/mixers for bread crumbs and potato starch products; cake mixes; ice cream flavors; frozen yogurt flavors; pet food items;and candy bars under several corporate names including Forrester Candy Company (1957–1983), Strain Candy Corporation (1984–present) & Brown's Chocolate Factory (1992–present).

Cudahy, Wisconsin is located in the eastern third of Wisconsin and was originally a part of the Menominee Nation. The first settlers arrived in 1836 and named the community after John Cudahy, an American Revolutionary War veteran and fur trader who had settled in what is now Superior, Michigan. Early residents constructed a log cabin on the banks of the river that later served as their village. In 1847, James W. Haines erected a frame house at present-day Elm Street and offered land to farmers for development. The town began to grow rapidly with businesses such as groceries, lumber yards, schools, churches and stores opening up. The population reached 3,000 by 1900 but growth stopped due to World War I and Prohibition. Revival efforts started in the 1920s with the passage of state legislation providing for local government within each township. This led to increased development which has resulted in today’s population of over 14,000 people.

In 1870, the tracks of the Milwaukee Road were extended through the town, and by 1888 it had a population of 1,500 people. A cotton gin was built in 1918 and became known as "The GIN House". In 1955-1956, local officials generated excitement when they announced that they would plant a large amount of soybeans on land adjacent to their high school which would then be used as football fieldTurf for future school events while also serving as part of a larger agricultural project called "The Greening of Cudahy". The project eventually resulted in over $1 million being invested by private individuals and businesses into making Cudahy more environmentally friendly with new irrigation systems and earthmoving equipment.
