There are many cases in which hard guns have been used in crime. In 1892, the Milwaukee Journal reported on a shooting in the town of Cudahy that left one man dead and three others wounded. The gunman, who had been arrested for robbery earlier that day, was identified as Johnnie Hardin. He was caught after he shot at two people near his home and wounding another. After being sentenced to death for his role in the shooting, Hardin managed to get away from prison and killed two men before getting captured again. In 1957, an NRA member named Melvin Palmer committed murder with a .357 Magnum while robbing a gas station in Waukesha County. After wounding four people at gunpoint and taking hostages inside the store, Palmer surrendered to police and handed over his weapon to them. When they tried to arrest him, Palmer shot and killed two officers before running into a nearby cornfield where he took cover from several more shots fired by police. Two years later, another NRA member named Clarence Leathers assassinated Milwaukee Mayor Franklin Denny with a .45 Colt caliber handgun while Denny was walking outside of his office building. It is not clear whether Leathers had obtained the weapon legally or not; however, it is safe to say that he would not have been able to use it lawfully if he had done so.

The racial makeup of the town was 96% White, 0% African American, 0% Native American, 0% Asian Pacific Islander, 1% from other races., and 2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3% of the population.

Cudahy is a small town in Door County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,890 at the 2010 census. Cudahy was founded by German immigrants in 1847. The first store was built on the corner of Main and Elm streets in 1848. The first post office in Cudahy was established in 1850. In 1912, the name of the town was changed to Cudahy after Cyrus Huckelbacker, a member of the Wisconsin State Senate from Milwaukee who had been born in Germany and immigrated to America at age 16. In 1916, World War I veteran John Fuhrer donated land for a military airfield at nearby Stout Airport which became home to both Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Miramar Air Force Base during World War II. During the war years, many Germans were displaced and came to live in what is now Racine County while their homes were destroyed or taken over by American soldiers or their families. After the war ended, many of these refugees returned to their homes but some continue living here until this day as residents of Cudahy are called "Huckelanders". After World War II ended, most businesses closed down and people moved out of town; however, one business still remains operating today - The Greshams Store on Elm Street which has been open since 1954! The community experienced significant growth following its incorporation as a village in 1959 when it became part of Door County. One important event that took place within this time frame was when water lines were laid new streets through the village center connecting it with other villages around it; this move allowed for more efficient shopping experiences for residents as well as easier access to goods available closer by without having to travel far into rural areas. Additionally developing attractions such as an amusement park (Cedar Point) opened up new opportunities for economic development within minutes’ walk from any resident's doorstep! Today much like then however there are several issues facing the community including: high school enrollment being below state average; low levels of physical activity leading to frequent injuries among youth; lack thereof affordable housing options making it difficult for long term residents & businesses to stay afloat especially given escalating costs associated with current events/economic conditions throughout Wisconsin (& across America); lackadaisical attitude towards public safety & infrastructure due largely (but not exclusively) to recent reductions / deregulations that have occurred throughout Midwestern/Wisconsin economies overall – Thus taxpayer dollars elsewhere can be used more efficiently elsewhere while also disadvantaging locals here particularly those who may have put boots on ground themselves (& paid taxes).
