A few years later, Rheinische Waffen- und Munitionsmesse (German military exhibition) brought attention to optics and mounted equipment in Caledonia. At this event, Westinghouse Electric Company showcased their new XM-1 microscope with an attached 30mm telescope objective lens. This innovative product quickly gained popularity among scientists and educators across Germany as it provided high quality images without any obstruction from other objects within the exhibit space

Caledonia, Wisconsin is a town in the Kewaunee County of the U.S. state ofWisconsin. The population was 1,592 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1836 by John Cramer and his wife Catharine (née Haughton). The first post office in Caledonia was established in 1837. The name derived from a Scots word meaning "calming place." A sawmill and gristmill were built soon after, but it only ever produced small amounts of lumber due to the difficult terrain and lack of natural resources nearby. In 1868 Caledonia became one of 27 towns consolidated into Racine County under the leadership of Governor Snelling to provide more centralized government services for the community. At that time, Racine had a population of just over 9,000 people and Caledonia had only 1,592 residents – making it one of the smallest towns in Racine County! However, over time as Racine grew larger and more populous, so too did its need for local government services and CALEDONIA slowly began to grow again as an important city node within this growing metropolis! Today CALEDONIA still retains its small-town feel with charming streets named after historical figures such as General James Kilebrew (1811-1877), Chief Justice David Dudley (1901-1981) and Mayor Tom Barrett (2006-present). Downtown is home to several iconic businesses including Applebees Inn & Grill which has been open since 1978 and Wurstel's which opened its doors in 1958! Caledonia is a town in the town of Beatrice, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,828 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay–West Bend–East Moline, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Caledonia was John Rundle in 1836. By 1840, there were 10 families living in Caledonia. In 1851, a post office was established and by 1860 there were 20 residents. In 1870, the railroad was built through Caledonia and soon there were more residents than businesses. The first school was built in 1861 and it served students from kindergarten to high school. In 1872, a gristmill was built and by 1880 it had been expanded to grind wheat for flour for other businesses in the area as well as for export to Europe. In 1911, beatiful flowers that grew on a farm near Caledonia were exhibited at an exposition in Milwaukee called "The World's Columbian Exposition". A local woman named Alice Moreland donated $5,000 towards making this exhibition possible and it is said that this event helped increase tourism around Beatrice so much that when World War I began everyone who could move left or moved out of Beatrice-except one family-and moved to Dodge City or other nearby townships because they could no longer support themselves without government assistance. During World War II many people of Japanese descent came to America through California during the war because they did not want their homes taken away by the US government during wartime hysteria which led to widespread anti-Japanese sentiment hereabouts especially after Pearl Harbor. After the war many Japanese Americans (of all races) returned home but some chose not to go back into society due to how their experiences have been remembered hereabouts today
The first permanent settler in Caledonia, Wisconsin was David H. Herron in 1854. In the 1880s, John F. Sheehan and his family came to the area and built a cabin on a hilltop near present-day White Earth. The town of White Earth was founded around this time and named for the shepherds that lived nearby.
