The Burlington Rifle Club was organized in 1876. The first rifle match was held in October of that year with a score of 3-2 against the Racine Rifle Club. In 1879, the club moved to its current location on Southside Drive and began holding matches at various locations throughout the city. In 1903, the club moved to its current location on Lake Street and began hosting matches at various locations throughout the city. In 1916, Burlington became one of the cities in Wisconsin which ratified the National Firearms Act which allowed for firearms registration and purchase by citizens. The clubs continued to hold matches until 1920 when they disbanded due to lack of members.

The Burlington metropolitan area has a population of 568,715. The city is located on the eastern edge of Milwaukee County and is bordered by rivers that run through it such as the Milwaukee River and Waukesha River to its south and east, respectively. He also named his new settlement after Lord Clarendon who had been ambassador Extraordinary to France at that time & leader of an expedition against Quebec City in 1763 while commanding British forces under General William Howe.. Burlington’s first courthouse was built on State Street in 1814-15 following plans by Masonic builder Amos Kendall whose idea it was for a two story building with square corners surmounted by an octagon dome which would be seen from State Street across Watertown Avenue into Mount Pleasant Township where it could be heard ringing from miles away due to reverberation caused by passing ships nearby The growth of Burlington began slowly but surely over time with waves of newcomers arriving until 1840 when construction began on what would become one of America’s most famous commercial districts – downtown Burlington – home today to more than 60 buildings dating back over 100 years including several original Sears stores still open today including Kresser’s Department Store #1 that opened November 6th 1892 In 1886, Mayor George Biddle appointed Caulfield Lumber Company president Samuel Sells as curator for all cultural exhibits within City limits including art exhibitions throughout town which continued until 1894 When Lumber Company president James Geddes became mayor Burlington experienced another period of rapid growth with new businesses popping up all around downtown like J&J Cigar Stores(later Jardin Cigars), Empire Coal Mines(now Empire Iron Works), American Legion Post No 1(now First American Bank) soon followed by other small businesses before eventually reaching saturation point resulting in many businesses moving out/ closing while others converted into high end hotels such as Brown Palace Hotel or Wentworth Place Hotel This sudden burst in business activity brought about increased pollution levels due especially during weekdays when large numbers people were concentrated Downtown creating stacks ofCharcoal Smoke stacks visible from mile away often turning dark during evenings sans anyirens available & contributing significantly To Iowa’s infamous “Smoky Season” reputation In 1902 Mayor James Geddes appointed one Mr John Fenton as Official Planner for all Municipal Features within City Limits resultant In 1906 Fenton created 4 wards Within city limits each represented By One Councillor Which continues up til present day With 3 Ward equivalents currently Located At Capitol Square East Side North Side Downtown . These wards are: 1st Ward - Abraham Lincoln 2nd Ward - Charles Evans Hughes 3rd Ward - Samuel Ziegler

In 1954, Burlington underwent a major renovation project which included new streetscapes, architecture and engineering features not seen anywhere else on a large Uptown commercial district east of Lake Michigan until then; this project also improved public transportation options for residents living near downtown Minneapolis or Aurora Heights IL (then just north of downtown). The city has faced various financial problems over time including multiple bankruptcies during the1990s recession; however since 2000 it has been experiencing economic resurgence through its population growth and investment in infrastructure such as bike lanes and sidewalks along North Avenue
