Freeman founded the Burlington Gun Club, which was the first gun club in America dedicated to the shooting of small Groups of people at outdoor ranges. The club met monthly until 1922 when it became an annual event. Over time, other clubs were formed throughout Burlington and nearby towns. In 1934, the Burlington Gun Club merged with another local gun club to form the now-legendary Twin Cities Gun Club (TGC). TGC quickly became one of North America’s leading airgun clubs with its popular events and variety of shooters. In 1969, TGC merged with yet another local gunclub – this time called the Milwaukee Rifle Association (MRA) – creating what would become one of North America’s biggest airgun communities. MRA offered members nearly every type of air rifle imaginable as well as more than 100 indoor ranges across Milwaukee County. The community soon developed into one ofNorth America’s most popular shooting venues with over 1 million visitors each year! Today, Airguns Unlimited remains a powerful force in Burlington thanks to its memberbase made up mostly of experienced shooters from all over North America who share a passion for making good shots outdoors!

Burlington, Wisconsin is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the county seat of Montrose County. The population was 29,651 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest city in Wisconsin by population size, and fourth-smallest municipality by area (less than 1 square mile). Burlington is located on Lake Michigan and its namesake riverfront makes it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state. The first European settlers arrived in what is now Burlington in 1836 as part of a fur trade expedition led by Simon Amherst. The town was named for George Washington Burritt, 3rd Baron Granville, who donated land to establish Burlington as an important commercial center on the western shore of Lake Michigan. In 1847, John Witherspoon became president of the United States and decided to move his presidential residence from Philadelphia to Madison Square Garden on Manhattan's Upper East Side so he could be available more frequently for consultations with Congress. Witherspoon appointed Burlington Mayor Isaac Nourse to manage all aspects of government operations at Madison Square Garden until he moved there himself two years later. In 1868, Burlington became home to America's first high school when Reuben Sharp opened Harvester Academy School in what is now North Park Place. In 1902, New York City's Grand Central Station was built just across the street from Harvester Academy School; this made Burlington an important transportation hub for both locals and visitors alike. In 1965, voters passed a referendum approving annexation by Milwaukee of parts of neighboring Dane County; this gave Burlington full city status and allowed it to secede from Montrose County altogether becoming its own municipal unit with its own governing body and taxes separate from those levied by Montrose County officials. Since then, Burlington has undergone many dramatic changes including multiple annexations within Milwaukee itself as well as various name changes including: Elmira Municipal Airport (1997), Southgate Municipal Airport (2002), West Side Municipal Airport (2008), Greenfield Municipal Airport (2010) – but no change in its official name since 2013 which remains "Burlington"
