The history of the Bellevue Rifle Stocks Company can be traced back to 1868 when George Ransom and James Wickersham founded the company. The company was originally located in what is now known as the Bluewater Shopping Center. Ransom and Wickersham were Croatian immigrants who owned a grocery store in Milwaukee. They decided to open a rifle stock company in order to provide their customers with quality firearms at an affordable price. In 1870, the Bellevue Rifle Stocks Company became incorporated under the name of Bellevue Arsenal & Armory Company. The company manufactured rifles and shotguns from 1868-1914. From 1914-1918, the Bellevue Arsenal & ArmoryCompany produced artillery weapons for World War I. After World War I, the company stopped production and changed its name to Bellevue Arms Corporation. In 1923, BellevUE Arms Corporation merged with John Maney’s Manufacturing Company and became part of that company’s product line. Maney’s ManufacturingCompany continued producing rifles until it closed in 1951 due to financial difficulties. In 1952, Ransom and Wickersham reopened their original grocery store location and began selling guns again under the name of Ransom & Wickersham Firearms Incorporated (R&W Firearms). The new owners decided not to continue producing firearms afteristorically being one of the most successful rifle stocks companies in America. Today, R&W Firearms is a subsidiary of Amazon Web Services Inc., which owns several shopping malls across North America including one located in Bellevue, Wisconsin (the Amazon mall). By World War I, rifle stocks had evolved into what we know today as Today’s Rifle Stock Designs (TRSD). TRSD designs allow shooters to better stabilize their firearm during firing while providing increased comfort after prolonged use. Many manufacturers now produce identical models across all major calibers allowing consumers flexibility when selecting an appropriate firearm stock for their personal needs. One common feature found on TRSD stocks is the use of shock mount points along both sides of the receiver giving shooters additional support while holding their weapon at various angles during recoil loading and firing cycles. Additionally, TRSD stock design also includes dovetail construction allowing multiple mounts including optics/vision devices alongwith handguns or shotguns without having theretoide conflicts between these mounts results in instability or worse when wielded like an edged weapon requiring extreme care when handling

Bellevue is a town in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, located on the border of Dane and Winnebago counties. The population was 4,027 at the 2010 census. Bellevue is home to The Bellevue School District, which operates six schools: Bellevue Elementary School, Bellevue Junior/Senior High School, Bellevue Senior High School- extensions (Bellevue East and Bellevue West), Horizon Middle School, and Apple Valley Intermediate School. Bellevue was organized as a village in 1854 from part of Clear Lake Township. It became a town in 1872 when it merged with neighboring towns of Holland and Waukesha to form the city of Milwaukee. In 1903, it lost its status as a city when it merged with Racine to become Racine County's largest town again. The first settlers arrived in what is now BellevUE in 1836 by boat from New London via Green Bay because there were no trails available overland then or now. The first white settler was Peter Krieger who erected his cabin on land he bought near present day Watertown along the White River two years later on July 3rd,. Krieger named his new settlement "Bellevue" after his native country of France where he had been born some 10 years earlier! He also donated 50 acres (20 hectares) to the town for development into an agricultural community that would include farming, lumbering and shipping operations. From this early beginning we know that BellevUE had many residents who believed their hard work would make something beautiful out of their small corner of Wisconsin!
